Three unsolved murders in a year have something in common. They’ve spread fear among college students and residents in Wisconsin’s normally laid-back capital, Madison
Police are saying that there are some similarities in at least two of the murders but aren’t giving away any details at the moment.
Wednesday police found the body of University of Wisonsin junior Brittany Sue Zimmerman in the apartment she shared with a boyfriend. They aren’t stating how she died yet, electing to reserve that information. Her boyfriend has been ruled out as a suspect and the Dane County coroner’s office conducted an autopsy yesterday. A spokesman for the Madison police department did note that there were several similarities between her death and the killing of Joel Marino in January. He was found dead outside his house with stab wounds. Police believe he died trying to crawl to get help.
