Earlier this year nine-month-old Curtis Williams and his two-year-old sister both tested positive from drugs, him with THC and the girl with cocaine. Both of them were taken from the mother, Katrina Jivers by DSS and put in foster homes after she was charged with unlawful conduct toward a child as well as contributing to the delinquency of a child.

February 8th was the first day that 30-year-old Angela Deniece Dukes, a neonatal intensive care nurse, had the care of Curtis Williams. Apparently Angela was having a hard time getting the boy to stop crying so she allegedly dosed him with benadryl (found in his system) and tape a pacifier in his mouth. Rather than putting Curtis in the crib which was there she left him in the bed on a comforter. It quieted him down alright. The baby was found face down, smothered amid the comforter with the pacifier blocking him from breathing. The child died from asphyxiation.

Angela Dukes was arrested this week (Inmate Incarceration Info) and charged with unlawful neglect of a child. She is currently in the Richland County Jail on a $250,000 bond. Both Angela Dukes (picture above) and Katrina Jivers (pictured below) have horribly failed this child who never had a chance. If Angela is guilty I hope she rots in hell along with the mother.
