Update – Road Rage'll Get You Every Time

Abernathy Rd at Roswell Rd.
Police in Sandy Springs, GA are investigating a road rage incident that happened Monday afternoon at an extremely busy intersection of the small city. I lived on the corner back in the '70s and even then when there were actually houses in the area it was pretty busy.

A man in a red sports car got angry when a female driver allegedly slowed down but rather than give her the bird or honk he got out of his car, said something to her and punched her in the face. The victim was able to write the man's tag number down before he got away.

Updated 10/8/09 - The man who got out and punched a woman in Sandy Springs is 58-year-old Daniel E. McBrayer, an OB/GYN from Marietta. Police arrested him Wednesday evening after he turned himself in at the Sandy Springs Police headquarters and charged him with Battery. He is currently out on $1,500 bond.

Update 2 10/22/09 – Dr. Daniel McBrayer, the Marietta OB/GYN who punched a woman in Sandy Springs traffic back at the beginning of October has had his bond revoked after violating a court order not to have any contact with the victim. I guess he figured that the law doesn’t apply to folks above a certain tax bracket.

Apparently McBrayer sent the victim an email apologizing for his behavior, which is what he’s in trouble for now. He appeared in court earlier today and his bond was revoked, sending him back to jail for the second time this month.
