15-Year-Old Kills His Grandmother

15-Year-Old Ethan Welch of Columbus, GA has been arrested for murdering his grandmother and is to be tried as an adult.

Ethan and his brother lived with his maternal grandparents because their mother works odd hours and they needed to have a stable caretaker. The two boys were both home schooled by the grandmother, Brenda Cook, and her husband.

While police know what happened, the question is why? Brenda Cook was found beaten and stabbed in the throat multiple times Sunday night. According to police Ethan confessed to having stabbed his grandmother with a steak knife and a grill skewer and when he was finished he ditched the murder weapons in a neighbor's yard and went back to playing video games.
