Netherlands to Extradite Van Der Sloot

A district court judge in the Netherlands ordered Joran van der Sloot to be extradited for questioning in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. He will be leaving for Aruba as soon as possible.

According to one of van der Sloot’s lawyers, he was bitterly surprised at the turn events, no doubt because he thought he had committed the perfect unsolvable crime. Even without the body he could still be convicted.

Last year Natalee Holloway’s parents filed a suit against Joran van der Sloot and his father in the Supreme Court of New York. A judge dismissed the suit in August of 2006, stating that New York was an ‘inconvenient venue’ in which to try the case.
