The Caylee Anthony timeline is below the fold.
Casey Anthony’s attorney filed a motion on Wednesday September 10th to stop all evidence testing in the investigation of Caylee Anthony’s disappearance. He is claiming that too much of the evidence will be destroyed for the defense to have their own independent testing done. Obviously Mr. Baez needs to learn a bit about police investigations and how things are done. He also wants the judge to let him weigh in on all testing before it’s done.
Another freakish protester is outside of the Anthony house. This time it’s a woman from Lake County Florida. She brought her St Bernard and a huge sign that said “I wouldn’t let my DOG go missing for 1 MONTH without looking”. At one point the Anthonys turned their sprinklers on in an attempt to get the woman to move and then Lee Anthony took the sign to the driveway of the house next door jumped on top of it crushing the sign and then jammed it into his neighbor’s trash can. He also broke the stand it was on and dumped out the dog’s water dish. The homeowners association is trying to stop protesters from gathering in the neighborhood but so far they are still being allowed in.
That’s one of the reasons that this case is getting so much coverage in the news. There is so much freaky weird stuff happening both with the Anthonys and the people that are polarized for and against them that there is always something new for the news stations to talk about, like the stuff below…
A tour bus full of Alzheimer’s patients stopped by the house on a field trip yesterday as well. When asked where they wanted to go they said they wanted to go to the Anthony house…WTF?
I received an email last night that Casey Anthony may get arrested yet again for more bad check charges as well…

Just a quick synopsis of what’s been going on.
Back in July Caylee Anthony was reported missing in a series of 911 calls from her grandmother Cindy Anthony. Mrs Anthony forced her daughter to get on the phone and tell the 911 operator what had supposedly happened. She says that he daughter was kidnapped but the police say that she is lying and almost every single thing that she told police has turned out to be a lie as well including where she was, who she saw, where she worked and what happened to Caylee. She’s pretty much been mum on what happened to Caylee except for a few stories that vary depending on who she told them to.
The last time that George and Cindy Anthony saw their granddaughter was on June 15th, 2008.
July 15th – The Anthonys finally located their daughter Casey after they were contacted by a towing company. Caylee was not with Casey and she didn’t offer any kind of details of her whereabouts. At some point she told her brother Lee that Caylee’s babysitter Zanny had taken her and had been missing for 31 days. Cindy tried to drive her to a police station but it was closed so she called 911 and asked for them to come arrest her daughter for auto theft and for stealing money. In a second call she told the dispatcher that Caylee had been missing for 31 days and that Casey had not called the police because she had been looking for her by herself. Cindy also stated that “There’s something wrong. I found my daughter’s car today and it smells like there’s been a dead body in the damn car.”
July 16th – Police arrest Casey on suspicion of child neglect, providing false official statements and obstructing a criminal investigation. She was originally held without bail. Here are some of the alleged lies that she told law enforcement:

  • Casey told her parents and the investigators that she dropped Caylee off at an apartment complex where the babysitter, Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez (Zanie) lived, and it was the last time she saw Caylee.
  • Investigators found the apartment and discovered it had been vacant for almost five months. The apartment manager told police the named babysitter Gonzalez had never lived in the complex.
  • Casey sent investigators to another apartment complex which turned out to be a senior citizens facility.
  • Casey then suggested police try another complex where Zenaida’s mother supposedly lived, but no one they questioned at the complex could identify Zenaida or her mother as residents of the complex.
  • Casey told investigators that she and Zenaida had been working at Universal Studios and that she had been leaving the baby with friends and Zenaida.
  • She provided the name of her boss and a phone number with an extension. Investigators learned that Anthony had not worked at the park since April 2006, and the number and name of her supervisor were false.
  • Casey told her parents that she was living with friends and Caylee was staying with her friends and Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez. Investigators reported Casey told two friends that Caylee was with her nanny, visiting theme parks and the beach.
  • Investigators reported that friends of Casey described her as “a habitual liar” and that she stole checks from one person they spoke to and $700 from another acquaintance.
  • When questioned about Caylee’s father, Anthony told investigators that he is dead. Investigators have not been able to confirm her statement.

July 17th – Casey was charge with the above crimes and held without bail. The Anthony home was searched and cadaver dogs hit on possible human decomposition. The police impounded Casey’s car. At some point around the 16th or 17th Jose Baez became her attorney and held his first news conference to try and dispel some of the rumors. He claimed that Casey had never refused to cooperate with the investigaton.
July 22nd – a bond hearing was held at which family members and law enforcement were called to testify about Casey as well as the ongoing investigation. Cindy told the court that Casey was her best friend and that although she had lied to her mother before they were always able to get to the bottom of things. She also claimed that she had heard Casey mention her friend Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez for at least three years but had never met or spoken to her. Judge Stan Strickland set Casey Anthony’s bond at $500,000 and also ordered home confinement with electronic monitoring, a complete psychological examination and ruled that she had to turn over her passport. Judge Strickland also had this to say during the hearing when he set the bond:

“Not a bit of useful information has been provided by Ms. Anthony as to the whereabouts of her daughter,” Judge Strickland said. “And I would add that the truth and Ms. Anthony are strangers.”

On the same day Jose Baez told reporters about a tipster that left a message on Cindy Anthony’s home phone saying that she believed she spoke to Caylee at the Orlando Airport prior to the child boarding a flight to Atlanta.
July 23rd – The reward for information leading to the safe return of Caylee Anthony was increased from $125,000 to $225,000. The reward was combined from donations from a local Orlando foundation and a local business owner. The reward was good for 90 days.
July 29th – Jose Baez asked the judge to bar releasing the recorded conversations at the jail, the 911 calls and visitor logs to the media. The request was denied.
July 30th – The 5th District Court of Appeals deny Jose Baez’s appeal of the $500,000 bond.
July 31st – George and Cindy Anthony are interviewed by the FBI.
August 1st – Orange County Sheriff’s deputies take several bags of evidence from the Anthony home.
August 7th – Phone records show that a call Casey said she got on July 15th never happened. Police confirm that June 15th was the last day that anyone say Caylee. Video from Father’s Day and pictures on Casey’s computer confirm it. They also serve a search warrant on the Anthonys, taking some clothing that Cindy said had been in Casey’s car. Some of the clothing had already been washed because of the foul odor.
August 8th – Casey refuses to see her brother.
August 9th – Caylee 3rd birthday. 🙁
August 10th – Casey cancels a visit from her parents.
August 12th – George Anthony tells reporters he believes Caylee was kidnapped and that the kidnappers are being watched.
August 15th – Two private investigators, Edward Phlegar and Casey Dominic, both working for Jose Baez, meet with Casey.
August 16th – Leonard Padilla announces that he and his nephew Tony Padilla will fly from California to Florida to bail Casey out of jail and help find the baby.
August 17th – Leonard and crew arrive in Orlando.
August 20th – Bond is posted for Casey’s release.
August 21st – Casey is released from the county jail midmorning after being fitted with an electronic monitoring device.
August 26th – Several hundred pages of documentation related to the investigation of the charges already filed are released.
August 27th – Orange County Sheriff’s Department fires Recruit Deputy Anthony Rusciano who may have had a relationship with Casey Anthony. Rusciano lied during an ongoing criminal investigation and was terminated.
August 29th – Casey, George, Cindy and Lee Anthony are served with witness subpoenas to appear in court in November. Casey is rearrested on economic crimes charges not related to Caylee’s disappearance. The Sheriff’s department say that that have video of Casey using forged checks.
August 30th – Casey’s new bond is $3,000 but since the original bond by the Padillas has been revoked she gets to sit in jail. Texas EquuSearch arrives in Orlando to help find Caylee.
August 31st – The Orange County Sheriff’s Department confirms that hair found in Casey Anthony’s trunk belonged to Caylee.
September 2nd – Casey refuses an offer of limited immunity.
September 4th – A supposedly anonymous person posts bond for Casey through two Florida bond companies. Turns out it was George and Cindy Anthony and that they had to sign a promissory note. Funny how they could pay it back when neither is working…
September 5th – Casey gets out of jail again. The Anthonys allegedly have an agent now and it’s rumored that there is a book/movie deal in the works. Caylee Anthony was featured on 20/20 and while ABC doesn’t pay for interviews they did license the pictures and videos. Wonder how much that cost them?
September 6th – Orange County deputies retrieve a gun from the trunk of George Anthony’s car. What I want to know is how they knew it was there.
September 7th – Texas EquuSearch has temporarily called off the search for Caylee Anthony due to environmental conditions. George Anthony gets rough with a couple of so-called protesters and pushes two of them. Both have petitioned to file charges but it’s up to the state attorney’s office to determine whether or not they want to charge him. Considering it is probably against a couple of ordinances for the protesters to be there in the first place they may reconsider. Sheriff Kevin Beary asks for the protests outside of the Anthony home to stop since they are taking away resources from law enforcement that could be better used elsewhere.
There are a ton more facts and suppositions that I have not listed here. If you want to add to the list just post a comment and I will get it added in within 24-36 hours.

6 throughts on "Caylee Anthony Updates VI"

  1. this case makes me so angry. 1) what is it telling america? you can kill someone and get away with it. 2) I thought you did not need a body to convict someone of murder?
so much stuff in this case that just gets to me.
    1) if someone has caylee if mother casey was so worried wouldn’t she help lead cops to who ever has casey, knowing that her daughter is out there somewhere out there not being sure if she is eating, being misstreated, molested ,beat etc tht also goes for cindy worring about grandchild. now do i belive that so called nanny took her? not for one secound also i would say so called babysitter, i wouldnt use the word nanny, nanny has refences usually live in etc.
    2) did you ever see a case with a mising person where they do not search? usually family is out there searching woods along with neighbors volen, dogs. Cindy, casey ,brother, Casey father i have seen do nothing, except stickers on car, and blame other people for not following so called tips. that probley go to Cindy’s house since she left phone number on myspace page “shakinghead”.
    3) i’am starting to think that Casey’s father or cindy had something to do with Caylee going missing. if my child had a child i would have my childs back but that is a annocent child i will tell you right now if my child acted like casey i would say you deserve to stay in jail or you are not coming to live at my house. now would i love my child and be heartbroken yes but if you can do that to another human being you deserve what you get rased better than that.
    4) i would be ashamed if i was casey’s father he was law enforcment right? well then he is not stupid also if you become a police officer it is to serve and protect. even though he is not one anymore i have no respect for him, that goes for cindy a rn which gives her a lices to help save peoples lives.
If i was that family i would stop the bs and denial and want to find caylee’s body she deserves to have a proper burial!
I do not feel caylee is alive, i hope that poor little girl did not have to suffer and i hope they find the body soon she has been out there to long, i bet you she is not far from the home, she needs to be buried that poor girl.
I pray they find her and only thing that i can think makes me happy is i belive in god and she is no pain and her soul will live on forever! oh and not in books and movies.
forgot to say one more thing with casey’s past relations with guys and the look on her lawyers face umm i dont think we are all dumb but i think he is defently getting more from casey then just meetings.
he should also be ashamed he doesnt care about welfare of a child or anything but himself, nice to uphold the law lol i bet his parents are so proud of him. pleaszzz.

  2. While I do think that Casey Anthony is definitely guilty of something, quite possibly murder, I doubt very seriously that Jose Baez is “getting any”.
It’s in attorney’s best interests, particularly in such a high profile case, for them not to get tangled up in their clients lives. As long as she doesn’t come out and admit to Baez that she is guilty then he can defend her to the utmost. Even if he knew she was guilty he would still be ethically bound to at least try and get her the least amount of time.
It’s easy to dislike attorneys that represent reprehensible people like Casey Anthony but someone has to do it. What about the attorneys for Tim Masters who has spent the last ten years in prison? I’m sure that people called his lawyer(s) all kinds of names but they just did their job the best they knew how. Now everyone realizes he was wrongly convicted. Are the people that called them assholes going to ‘take it back’?

  3. I see where you are coming from. Just hard to belive that that lawyer can have a smirk on his face, and stop all testing. You wonder sometimes if they really in good interest for society.
did you see how casey’s dad is reacting to protesters? His anger is totally unnessaciary, specially for an ex cop, he is not stupid to what has happened and knowing there was body in car.
I wish they would accept fact she might not be here with us anymore and she needs a proper reasting place, they should consider all options , if this poor well i know she is not with us. We need to find her body give her the respect she needs. I hope they find caylee’s body soon, give her that much of a restting place.

  4. Yeah, I sincerely hope that her body is found soon. The whole deal down in Florida with the family and protesters is spiraling out of control. Hopefully once she goes to court later in the year for the fraud charges they can at least keep Casey in jail long enough to find Caylee and press murder charges. Without a body they could still press charges but if she were to get off they can’t try her again for the same crime once Caylee is located. The state is better off biding it’s time and waiting until then.
