In an interview with CNN Ronald Cummings said that both he and his 17-year-old girlfriend Misty Cummings had passed lie detector tests and that the police think that Haleigh Cummings was abducted. That certainly jibes with the way police are reacting right now. The don’t have any official suspects at the moment, as the sheriff said “All the world’s a suspect”.
Police are still focusing on several different areas and angles including finding out where the 44 registered sexual offenders are that live in a five-mile area of the Cummings trailer.

I don’t think she was abducted at. Put the father and girlfriend in a room for 3 days and I think that you’d find a lot of similarities to Casey Anthony!
The girlfriend will be implicated. Father is just stupid, but I don’t think he’s involved.
I think that Misty has got a LOT of explaining to do. And I mean alot. I agree that the father is just being naive and stupid by not reading the writing on the wall. Misty Croslin had something to do with this. Whether or not she did the kidnapping, I do believe she had something to do with this.
This is just a thought, but has anyone tested the father, mother, and father’s girlfriend for drug use? This could be the result of a drug deal gone bad. There are so many things that could have taken place resulting in this child’s abduction.
I think that maybe, just maybe, if drugs were involved, that the father, or FATHERS GIRLFRIEND, may have owed money for drugs and didn’t have enough. Therefore, if the “Reward” money reaches a certain amount maybe the people behind this (whoever they are, everyone is a suspect), they will maybe hire someone to “find” the little girl, (alive or unfortunately not alive) and collect the money and be done with it.
There needs to be a thorough investigation about the background of the parents. The phone lines need to be tapped and listened to closely for clues.
I absolutely think Misty was involved somehow. She reminds me so much of the way Susan Smith did when she drown her children. I think she has some real mental health issues going on. I am surprised no one has addressed the fact that the dad is living with a 17 year old, isnt that rather sexual predator like in itself? I do not think dad had anything to do with Haleigh’s disapperance, he seems genuine in his concerns for her. I hope this child did not loose her life for a drug deal gone bad as other’s have suspected, We should all pray for this child’s safe return, although I fear we are too late.

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — She is the 17-year-old who hasn’t had a lot to say about Haleigh Cummings disappearance until today.
“Thank you to everyone who’s tried to help us,” said Misty Croslin. Croslin is the girlfriend of Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings. She is also the last person to see Haleigh.
Croslin talked about how tired she was the night Haleigh disappeared. “I was over-exhausted. I was real tired. I had a long weekend,” she said.
Croslin and Ronald Cummings reported Haleigh missing around 3:30 a.m. last Tuesday. The little girl’s brother was also there.
“I remember him being up…I was half asleep…That was right after I laid down…Got up and walked out of my room…And the next thing I know I was out. I don’t remember nothing after that,” Croslin said.
Some are questioning whether or not Croslin was home the evening Haleigh disappeared. In response to those who question her, Croslin said, “They’re lying…Wish they could come to me and tell me I wasn’t home that night.”

Logic says, its Misty. She was the last one to be seen with Haleigh. But what did she do with her? Did she have a vehicle so as to place the body elsewhere? An accomplice? Perhaps, Haleigh did not want to go to sleep that night. And as she said, she was overly-exhausted and had a long weekend. Perhaps she got angry and caused harm to this child? Perhaps that is why the door was propped open as to get rid of any potential smell that may have been present as well as to offer a scenario other than the actual? These are all the possibilities that come to my mind. But, I suspect without the body or any tangible proof that harm came to this child. Law enforcement has a tough case to prove. Of course, if all within the family dynamic have been “cleared” than that only leaves the possibility of a random act took place. Hopefully, some answers come soon. Either by finding the “perp”, or finding Haleigh alive, or finding her body -which hopefully will warrant clues as to what may have happened to her. And the person(s) responsible can be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
Misty was the last one to see Haleigh alive–SHE says. Who REALLY know what time Haleigh was taken or if someone took her somewhere else OR she had been gone since early evening? Noone seems to have been to the house except Misty’s brother and noone answered the door–doesn’t mean noone was home. The whole thing is a mess of relatives lying, cheating, and who knows what else all at the expense of an innocent child.
