Original Story –
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Justin Bret Blackledge (http://www.myspace.com/savagemonkeyrock) late Monday night after an exhaustive investigation conducted by the Oregon City police department.
Apparently word got to the police from the girl’s family that this sorry piece of dirt was using the Internet to pimp out a 16-year-old girl. The were informed that he had uploaded sexually explicit photos of the girl engaging in sexual activity to an internet escort site. The ad included contact information and a price list of sexual services the girl would provide.I haven’t found the site yet, not even an archived version, but I suppose that doesn’t matter. Apparently Blackledge is a friend of the family and their daughter was staying with him (that’s sort of creepy) last year.
Anyway, the Oregon Police Department executed a search warrant back in December of 2008 on Justin Blackledge’s house at 129 Morton Road in Oregon City and as a result turned up evidence that Blackledge had a sexual relationship with the girl and was the go-between between the victim and clients. The meetings took place in Beaverton, OR as well as other places in the Portland area between June of 2007 and September of 2008.

One thing that I found interesting (and sort of scary) is that Justin’s last login to his MySpace account was on Monday the 27th, it’s set to private but shows his mood as ‘focused’ and his status is ‘Justin is Planning’. Planning what I wonder? If it was his disappearance he was just a bit too late for that. He is currently in the Clackamas County Jail on one charge of Compelling Prostitution, three counts of using a child in a sex display, six counts of encouraging the sexual abuse of a child and five counts of sexual abuse. All total his bond is currently set at $250,000. He had his arraignment on Tuesday and when this finally gets to court if he is convicted he will get mandatory jail time.
Blackledge does have several other profiles online (his Facebook, also private) as well as his own website, http://www.savagemonkeyrock.com and a Blogspot page as well (hasn’t been updated since 2006). He also has a profile at Editred under the pseudonym Clockworkjuice. Both sites include assorted writings and poetry by Justin. According to Justin “I am currently writing a fictional book about the possibilities and
singularities our world faces. I would love any constructive feedback
or support as I test my ideas out. I will gladly comment on your work
as well. I’m very happy to see a site like this on the web, and it’s
great to be part of it.“
It doesn’t look like he’s uploaded anything to Editred since 2006. I guess pimping out children takes up quite a bit of free time. Here’s a bit of his poetry, one called Salvation:

Justin is also working on a novel called Savage Monkey Rock (thus the website). This is from the prologue:

His website has two pages that look like they were set up for other people but not used yet, a few of his poems, and a section for his novel. Still just the prologue and outline so I don’t guess he’s worked on it much since he posted it at Editred. He should have plenty of time to finish it now.
Justin has a profile at the Hero of Humanity Law of Attraction Group in Portland (whatever that is) as well as the Movies in Portland meetup group, Portland Freedom Club, Meditation For Mastery and Portland Tantric Meetup Group. Kind of makes you wonder if he was using some of these to find potential clients. He was certainly busy online in 2006. One profile that looks as if it was never updated is over at Care2, a web site for different causes.

Update –
So I’ve done a little checking on some of the things that have been presented in the comments about Blackledge being mentally disturbed and it’s quite possible that it is true. The apartment complex he lives at is called Fisher Ridge Apartments which is a 19-unit complex for the ‘disabled’. They are rented through Housing Connections, which is a HUD site.
So that brings me to a couple of other questions. Some folks have remarked that Justin is mentally disturbed, one says he is severely mentally ill and has taken his delusions too far. Allegedly he has been hospitalized more than once for his illness and he either doesn’t take or abuses his medication. If he’s that bad off, then why is he outside of the hospital?

you neglected to mention that Justin himself, is severly mentally ill. he does not take his prescribed medication and he is on disability due to his illness. also, he was not borrowing money from his parents, they refuse to enable him anymore, they manage his disability money because he is unable to make rational choices about much of anything in his life. Justin is not a child molester per se. Justin is a mentally ill man who needs extensive hospitalization and therapy.
There’s an argument to be made that ALL child molesters are mentally ill, otherwise they wouldn’t be doing the deed. Mental illness shouldn’t be used as an excuse to remove them from day-to-day society, as a matter of fact it’s all the more reason to do just that since they obviously can’t distinguish between right and wrong.
As for the rest, I just got home from work so will start looking into some emails I received today as well as the comments here and update the post once I get confirmation.
Justin is a family friend, so is the “victim” and her family. We think the federal charges are outrageous and there is much being manipulated for personal gain. It is tragic that this story has been treated the way it has. Did it occur to you that he did NOT pimp out a 16 year old on the internet?
During the Salem witch trials, a few teenage girls were able to intentionally frame others as witches…it seems we haven’t learned much in the way of justice.

Aside from the prostituting thing.. Justin had sex with this 16 year old girl.. and to make matters worse.. this girl once called him Dad as he dated her mother and has been in her life since she was 4 years old. He is very ill mentally and needs to be sent somewhere where he can get help and medication.
I’ve heard the same from several different people. Overall it’s pretty horrendous. I will agree with you on the fact that he needs help though. I don’t think this guy needs jail time at all, he needs to be in a psychiatric hospital where he can’t hurt anyone and kept there for a long long time because obviously the treatment he has had thus far has been no help.
Are you trying to claim that the girl set the ads up herself and framed Justin? Seems pretty preposterous to me. Who is to gain here? If you are going to make cryptic statements like that you should back it up with the rest of the story, otherwise it just sounds like you are blowing smoke up peoples asses.

It is unwise to post on the internet what I know about an ongoing case. What good would it do you to know intimate details about any of these peoples lives or decisions?
The truths will hopefully come out in the trial. There is no reason for the media to assign itself the judge and jury. It could ruin his chance to a fair trial, it could make someone found innocent still unable to live in our society. Lets say all charges are dropped, he is free to go. All of this negative media…who will give him a job, or rent to him? How about date him? He is now villanized!
How about this. If Justin lived next door to me, I totally trust that my daughters would not be recruited as internet call girls.
First of all let me say that Miss Jessi was dating Justin and then when the girl was 17 years of age, sent her threatening emails over myspace. The girl has proof of this.
Furthermore she is not pregnant and does not apreciate people saying she is.

he’s never worked a day in his life unless he was forced to. And his work was to say the least few and far between.
He slept with other underage females and plotted to, not just the one girl. And…on top of all of these things, she never framed him. In fact if you look at the police report carefully you will see that her police involvement was minimal and not only minimal but something that she staved off as much as possible.
Get the full story or shut the fuck up basically. She has a myspace. She has her escorting account and she has publicly put up phone numbers of where to reach her, her real name and her nick name and has no reason to lie to anyone.
And there isn’t just two sides to this story. Her side is being misrepresented and it is unfair to say things that she did without knowing.
That being said, child molestation is a mental illness and she was not a child in Washington, or Nevada or 30 other states. And what made her a child because of legal age of consent in OR?
Do you even know what this girl looks like or acts like? No. You don’t. But I can say there was nothing childish about her then and nothing childish about her now. And even though she is now 18 years of age…she still needs to be protected. And if not protected, at the very least she needs to be able to be represented by what she actually did. Neither person was right in this situation.
