Yakeisha Ward is a Baaaad Waitress…

All I can really say about this is that I am so glad Yakeisha Ward isn’t one of my employees. Damn. Just Damn as Dax would say. Crystal Samuel went into the Waffle House in Manning, South Carolina after a late night Saturday. Friday and Saturday nights are busy nights for the for any restaurant that’s open 24 hours. If you’re in the southeast and drunk, where ya’ gonna go? That’s right, Waffle House.

Crystal expected to go in for a bit of comfort food. She told police that the service was slow and when the food arrived apparently there was something wrong because she started to argue with her waitress, Yakeisha Ward. Rather than just lodge a complaint with the cook or call their complaint line she threw her food at the waitress, who jumped over the counter and the two of them started fighting. Will wonders never cease, a fight at the Waffle House and Kid Rock wasn’t even there…

At that point Ward went to her van and got a gun. When she attempted to shoot Crystal Samuel the bullet ricocheted off the pavement and hit Samuel in the arm. It certainly could have been much worse. Yakeisha Ward has been arrested by the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Assault and Battery with Intent to Kill. She has been released on $5,000 bond and needless to say is most likely now unemployed.

According to Yakeisha’s MySpace page her influences are God and Tupac, among other ‘gangstas’. It’s my understanding that God doesn’t want you to go shooting people that are jerks, but then again I could be wrong. That whole ‘gangsta’ thing though, that’s what it’s all about isn’t it? Street cred. Her ‘about me’ section contains the following gem:

LORD TODAY I ASK THAT YOU BLESS ME AND ALL OF MY MYSPACE FRIEND . KEEP ME COVER BYE UR SON JESUS CHRIST BLOOD .AND NO WEAPON FORM AGANIST ME NEVER BE ABLE TO PROSPER. AND LORD IF ANY OF MY HATER’S R SENDING ANY PRAYER REQUEST TO BE LIKE ME LORD I ASK THAT U DON’T GIVE THEM MY SWAG. ASLO GOD TO DA PERSON MAY BE READING THIS NOW DON’T LET THEM JUDGE

Don’t get me wrong. I make spelling and grammar typos constantly but that must have taken her a couple of hours to write. I think MySpace needs to add a spell check to their profile editor. Hell, it doesn’t even have to be english. That’s only part of the reason I posted it though. I find it interesting that the references to god and jesus are all mixed in with blood, weapons, haters, etc… IMO that’s a pretty screwed up mind set.

A word to the wise…Waitresses in most restaurants make between two and three dollars an hour, plus tips to put up with your bullshit and hopefully make your day a bit better. If there is something wrong most places will correct it on the spot. If you must complain do so politely, but if you are in Manning, SC, keep your mouth shut. You might get shot.
