Updated 10/07/09 – I’ve given a lot of thought over the last few days to some updates I posted to this entry last last month and I have to say that I am ashamed for them and have removed them from the post. Most of you know I very rarely will take a post down or change them, except in the case of updating due to new facts or convictions but in this case I was in the wrong.
My opinions, some of which I have voiced in the comments, are the same but this post is about the douchebag pictured above who took a life. Regardless of what anyone else did with their lives it pales in comparison to Fraser taking the life of Collin Cross.
If I have caused any distress to Collin’s family members due to my insensitivity (which is unlikely to change) I am deeply sorry for that.

Original Post – Early Monday morning the ex-girlfriend of 21-year-old Bud Michael Fraser got dropped off her job at an espresso stand in Everett, Washington around 5AM by Collin Cross. Cross was dating Fraser’s ex-girlfriend, a fact that Bud apparently couldn’t stand.
Cross stopped in a parking lot nearby with his dog right after he had dropped her off at work. When she heard gunfire she called 911 and after police responded they found Collin Cross shot to death in his car.
Bud Michael Fraser allegedly drove his yellow Camaro to the McDonalds nearby, shot Collin Cross in the head with an assault rifle and then ran away on foot. He was arrested without incident at a truck stop in Ellensburg on Tuesday.
From interviews online it’s alleged that Fraser had a history of stalking Cross’ family and they were worried about what Fraser was going to do since Cross was dating his ex-girlfriend.
Fraser has been charged with 1st Degree Murder and is being held on $2 Million bond.

This is just another case of how things are turned and twisted if the writer of this would have read the other online comments correct they would have noticed they are trying to say that Bud was stocking his ex girlfriends family and Collin was trying to save her. Funny how they try to make a drug user into a saint yes its sad that he died but he was no angle that everyone is trying to make him out if anyone would have seen him on the street he would just be the crack head that they are calling Bud. Bud is not the monster they make him out he made choice and ruined a lot of people lives, but I’m sure that Collin and this girl did some bad thing to Bud to get him to go this far, its not in his nature to act this way. people can say what they like but it is no where near the truth and this is just proof….thanks
I noticed that with several of the stories I’ve run across. One of the reasons I wasn’t going to put the same ‘spin’ on it is because it’s so obvious that Collin is a druggie. Even his screenname dankcrop pertains to either pot or ‘shrooms. I’m not politically correct enough to give a shit about not speaking ill of the dead but whatever Collin was into would have taken care of him eventually.
As far as Bud not being a monster, actions speak louder than words. Had he shot someone who had perhaps killed a family member or molested a child that would at least be understandable even while being illegal but as far as I can tell from what’s been released to the public he didn’t even have reason enough to claim extenuating circumstances.
yes i agree that the but have they released a statement from Bud telling his side, and untell he does i dont see it being far to say either way…. if you go to the girls myspace MRS.CROSS72688 she has it open showing them smoking pot saying how she just wants to remember him but i think that its a dumb way to show someone that just died for you that the are just as big as druggie as the Bud if not more…..i havnt found any pics of him using on line yet…..

I am really sorry for your family’s loss but acting as if he was something he wasn’t is called denial. One look at her MySpace page tells me they are druggies. That an individual smokes pot has no real statistical bearing on his deservedness or likelihood of being shot, nor do any of you have any place to write up conclusions and ignorant presumptions on who the victim was based off of a few photographs. Certainly Collin may have been a great guy all around but when you put photos and other information up on the web showing how much you love drugs but nothing else, that’s what people go by. Our actions and the way that we live our lives reflect upon who we are.

I know Bud. I may not know him as well as all his other friends but I have hung out with the guy enough to know that he is not a bad person. Don’t get me wrong I don’t agree with what he did and I wish things didn’t turn out the way they did. I feel deeply sorry for the family and friends of Collin. But honestly, Bud was never a bad person. He was always the life of the party, he would always joke around with everybody, and that’s just Bud it’s how he’s always been since the day that I met him and from what I’ve heard from all of his old friends. You are 100% right that he didn’t deserve to die. Bud Fraser should get the death penalty for the murder as well because it was obvious that he planned the deed. From all of the comments from Collin’s friends and family he was a really nice guy.
As far as not having to do with weed that is only slightly true. Sometimes bad things just happen to good people but there are things you can do to protect yourself and living a lifestyle where you hang with drug users and use them yourself is not one of them.

I tend to agree with you here. Regardless of anything else that was going on Fraser had no right to take a life.
Now that was classy. Sadly the lives of two young men are ruined and now a child will never know it’s father. As the mother of a friend of Collin I was very pained by the comments made in this blog and I commend you for stepping back and thinking about what was said. Collin was a very kind and caring young man….young being the key word here and should have had the time to develop into the mature man he would have had he been given the time.
Bud Frasers family I’m sure is hurting and there is sorrow for everyone involved.

I tend to agree with you, which is one of the reasons I took out a large chunk of this story awhile back but there are a couple of schools of thought on that.
Number one, Collin did not deserve the die, particularly in the manner in which that piece of shit Fraser handled it. That having been said, we choose our playmates and it seems that there is quite a bit more drama in the lives of those who choose to do drugs recreationally than other folks.

wtf you seem to have a huge hang up about Dani. This isn’t about Dani. This is about Collin and nobody “drove” Bud to murder. That was something inside of him that Dani had nothing to do with. Boys and girls break up all the time but it’s the rare sick person that actually picks up a gun and kills a young man. What or who Dani is is neither here or there so get over her. Put yourself in the shoes of those that loved Collin Cross…..imagine your brother or son or boyfriend being alive one moment and dead the next. Have some human compassion for the loss of a life.
