    ramos.jpgUpdate
I don’t know if they thought there was a chance Ramos would get off or not but the Orange County prosecutor offered Edwin Ramos a plea deal. Rather than face a jury trial for 1st degree murder he copped a plea to second-degree murder. That would leave the death penalty off the table and give him anywhere up to life in prison. Judge Walter Komanski took the prosecutor’s recommendation and gave him 30 years.

They also arranged a meeting between Ramos and Carmen Torres, Kenny’s mother because she really wanted to know if he was sorry. I don’t doubt at all that his remorse was sincere but that certainly doesn’t negate the need to punish him. While I am usually pretty hardcore about the death penalty, not everyone should be put to death and if Ramos is kept in jail for life I believe that justice will have been served.

…but when it was a toddler he knew how to fix that situation.

Orlando, Florida police arrested Edwin Ramos Wednesday afternoon on charges of murder and aggravated child abuse.

Ramos’ was watching Kenny Torres, 21-months-old, while his mother was at work. Apparently Kenny tipped over a wastebasket of marijuana and spilled some of it and then did it again. Ramos said that the child was ‘seemingly taunting Ramos’ so he picked Kenny up by the throat and squeezed him until the boy’s face turned blue. He then threw the child repeatedly on to the bed. Must have been some pretty potent weed…

    Neviaeh_20Amyah_20Buchanan_small.jpgUpdate
June 1st 2009 – More Updates and the post continued here

Neveah Amyah Buchanan has not been found yet but MyFoxDetroit reported last night that the Monroe police found a hunting knife with human blood on it in George Kennedy’s tackle box. It has been sent to the state crime lab for testing.

A reward in the search for Neveah has also been started. It’s now been 60 or so hours since Neveah was last seen. This is starting to not look very good, although there have been several ‘sightings‘. One of them has been (the Easton Town Center Mall) corroborated by a second person now. That doesn’t mean it was actually her but it does lend to a bit of hope in the search. The name Neveah is not as rare as one would think so it might be an entirely different little girl that was seen. The FBI is treating it as a serious lead though and attempting to follow up on it.

    Original Post
Last night at around 8:30 p.m. 24-year-old Jennifer Orise Buchanan (MySpace) reported her 5-year-old Nevaeh Buchanan missing to the Monroe, Michigan police. She told law enforcement that Nevaeh was playing with a friend of her’s in the apartment complex when her friend had to go inside for dinner. While she was eating Neviaeh continued to play with her scooter. When the mother went to get the scooter out of the parking lot there was no sign of little Nevaeh. At some point in there the mother must have notified Jennifer Buchanan, but I haven’t yet found out when or how she was notified.

    Isabella Petty
The search for Isabella Eve Petty and her one-year-old brother is over now that the two of them have been found safe with their mother Casey Lynn Fagen (Petty) in Phoenix, AZ. The three of them were believed to be traveling with Isabella’s stepfather Jerry Fagen, who is a fugitive from Paulding County, Georgia. Law Enforcement around the country is still on the alert for Jerry Fagen (pictured below).

    jerryfagen.jpg

Both of the children are in the custody of Phoenix CPS and they are working with Paulding County DFACS to get the kids back to Georgia. So far no charges have been filed against the mother but they may still be forthcoming.

30-year-old Jerry Lee Fagen is described as being 5′ 9″ tall, 130 pounds with long brown hair, a close-cut mustache and a goatee. He is believed to be driving a red 2000 Ford Taurus SES with Georgia Tag ASI 7861. He is accused of child molestation and sexual battery.

Jerry Fagen is originally from Arizona and police believe that he may still be in the area.

Updated – Jerry Lee Fagen turned himself in to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Department this evening around 5:30 p.m.

Late last year the Caylee Marie Anthony foundation was created. According to their mission statement on the web site:

The Caylee Marie Anthony Foundation will prevent child abduction through the creation of awareness of child safety measures and the missing child epidemic; will provide support to families and law enforcement during child recovery efforts; and will assist in the well-being of children in need of comfort and support during difficult and stressful times.

Right now the Caylee Marie Anthony foundation is being operated out of the Anthony’s house in Orlando, Florida. Certainly not the first foundation to be gotten off the ground this way and I doubt it will be the last yet as suspicious as we are as human beings I’ve seen on several forums where people are calling it a scam or even worse.

cayleebear.jpgOne of the things that the foundation is doing is to supply police and fire departments with the “Caylee Bear” to be handed out by first responders. While I find this mildly distasteful and misguided I don’t think it’s a scam. The family of Caylee Anthony is trying to find their own way to deal with the tragedy that befell them and this is their way to do it.

So what brings me to write about the “Caylee Bears”? I received an email earlier today.

I have started a petition against the Cayleebears.com website and would like your help to have it removed from the web. This site not only discredit well reputable foundations but it also lacks empathy for the death of Caylee Anthony, in a way mocking the case in hand.
I dont know what else I can do but contact as many people as possible and bring awarenss to this site .

    www.cayleebears.com

    and the petition is

    http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/cayleebears/

    Thanks Again for listening

I was confused for a couple of minutes and then clicked on the first link. Holy crap. I just thought the foundation’s Caylee Bears were distasteful. This is some fucktard’s idea of humor and while I like black humor as much as most (and probably more) whoever created this satiric site is a complete asshole. Here are the bears on their website.

CayleeBears_com.jpgThey supposedly come with their own bag as well.

    CayleeBags.jpg
As far as the petition that was set up, that’s probably about as dumb an idea as I’ve hear all day. Who do you plan on sending the petition too? ICANN? Do you folks really think that this is the only distasteful sight on the Internet? If you want to do some real good file a civil suit. Hell, find the name and address of whoever put up the site and I’ll even post it here along with all the other douchebags and asshats. They’ll fit right in.

The domain is listed through godaddy buy the owner is private, purchased through a company called Domains by Proxy, inc. in Scottsdale, AZ. The can be contacted at (480) 624-2599

tarabrandon.jpg38-year-old Tara L. Brandon (MySpace) from Columbia City Indiana is the director of Camp Whitley, a summer camp on Troy Cedar Lake, also in Indiana. Tara has been arrested on allegations that she had sex with one of the boys employed as a camp counselor over the course of three summers while he was under 18. She has been charged with 15 counts of sexual misconduct and 18 counts of child seduction but is currently out  of the Whitley County Jail on $50,000 bond.

The boy, now 18, admitted to police that he and Brandon had sex many times over the summer of 2007 and 2008 although rarely at the camp and never when campers where there. Police also interviewed another counselor who told police that he had witnessed what he thought was a sexual relationship between Tara and the boy earlier this year. Boy, that’ll really hold up in court.

During their relationship Brandon discouraged his relationship with his girl-friend bad mouthing her. The girlfriend also confirmed that with police and I’m sure they can corroborate that with the cell phone company.

    alisonpeck.jpg

23-year-old Alison M. Peck (MySpace, Facebook) used to be a teacher at Greenfield High School in Missouri. She already faces felony rape and sodomy charges in two different counties for her involvement with a 16-year-old boy. Now investigators have discovered that earlier in May she had a couple of women rent a hotel room so that she could meet up with the 16-year-old boy. She’s now been charged with Statutory Rape and the prosecutor is seeking a $200,000 bond.

    alisonpeck2.jpg

According to the probable cause statement that was used for the initial charges the student started sending Peck text messages last December and then started going to her house in Mt Vernon. What’s really creepy is that right after the affair started Peck filed for divorce from her husband back in January.

Wonder if these two will be doing “hot for teacher” night in ten years…eeeewww.

     Jessholcomb2

    Update

The autopsy report for 18-month-old Shyanne Nicole Holcomb has been released and it pretty much said what we already knew, that the baby had died from suffocation. Jessica Holcomb has now been charged with the death of her daughter. Investigators are saying that Holcomb most likely knew that she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest and went into the crawl space in order to hide from law enforcement.

    Original Entry Posted 5/19/09

This past Friday officers from the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department went along with a social workers from Gwinnett County DFACS to investigate a report that two young children were being left at home alone and that the house was unsanitary.

When law enforcement got to the house they knocked on the door and heard a baby yell and then quickly stop. Nobody would answer the door and fearing for the safety of the child they entered through the back door. Searching the house they found a large portion of the wall in a closet cut out and inside the homemade crawl space they found 26-year-old Jessica Holcomb holding the lifeless body of her 18-month-old child. They attempted CPR and then took the toddler to the hospital, where it was life-flighted to Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in an attempt to save it’s life.

An autopsy to determine the cause of the child’s death is forthcoming and Jessica Nicole Holcomb has been charged with one count of Cruelty to Children. This obviously isn’t Jessica’s first brush with the law as in addition to the cruelty to children charge she is also facing a violation of probation charge  (inmate charges) and is being held with no bond pending a hearing (in addition to possible murder charges).

    markoburton.jpg

28-year-old Marko E. Burton aka Marko Xavier Burton has had a few run-ins with the law, mostly in the West Georgia area. In 2000 he was convicted of Possession of Cocaine and received 7 years. In 2001 he was convicted of Sale or Distribution of Cocaine and Marijuana and received 5 years for each. A couple of weeks later he was convicted of Possession of Marijuana and Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer. He got 5 years for the first and 12 months for the second charge. In 2005 he was convicted again for Possession of Cocaine and received a 10 year sentence. By all rights this repeat offender should still be in jail. So what did he actually serve? He was in jail for 23 months from 2002 to 2004 and 32 months from January of 2006 until this past september when he was paroled. WTF is wrong with this picture?

So what’s Marko been up to recently? Smoking weed apparently. Oh, and Assaulting a police officer now. Hopefully he’ll serve a little more time for this one. Yesterday a Villa Rica Georgia police officer pulled Marko over in a Dodge Magnum. When the officer walked up to the car he could smell Marijuana. He ordered Burton to turn the car off, which he did. When the officer reached inside to get the keys Burton started the car again and took off, dragging Sergeant Chet Long about 50 feet before he fell off and Burton ran over both his legs.

Several local law enforcement agencies joined the hunt for Marko Burton and they found him less than half an hour later in the Hampton Courts apartments. Burton was also in possesion of less than an ounce of Marijuana. He has been charged with Aggravated Assault Against a Police Officer and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana and has been denied bond until his trial, most likely because he is a flight risk. The Villa Rica PD says that more charges are pending against Burton as well.

The police officer is going to be OK and should be back to work in a week or so.

Updated 10/22/09 – Marko Burton pled guilty to Aggravated Assault Against a Police Officer and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana yesterday. In return for the guilty plea he was sentenced to 20 years with seven to serve in prison and the other 13 on probation.

I guess this must just be the day for stories about poison.

Back in 2006 William Allen Cunningham had the bright idea that if he put drugs and lighter fluid in his children’s soup he could get some money out of Campbell’s. His children became severely ill but luckily survived the act although they may end up with breathing problems for the rest of their lives as a result. He fed his two children, 3 years and 18 months, laced soup three times in January of 2006. After having taken his kids to the emergency room he contacted Campbell’s and told them their soup was tainted.

42-year-old William Cunningham was sentenced to 100 years in jail on seven counts of aggravated assault against his children. I hope they make him eat Cambell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup every day in prison, the sick bastard.

    michaelledford.jpg

Michael Ledford, the man convicted for the brutal murder of Jennifer Ewing on the Silver Comet Trail has been sentenced to death. It took jurors approximately two and a half hours to reach their decision. It only took them 90 minutes to decide his guilt in the murder earlier this week.

According to Ledford’s defense attorney Tom West if Ewing hadn’t fought back when Ledford tried to rape her he wouldn’t have flown into a rage, beating and stomping her to death. What the hell kind of stupid logic is hat? Only a defense attorney could turn around what was a heinous crime and blame it on the victim. Ledford certainly didn’t show Jennifer Ewing any mercy when he killed her.

The more I read and learn about Melissa Huckaby the more I am completely creeped out. The former Sunday School teacher who has been charged with the rape and murder of 8-year-old Sandra Cantu is now going to face additional charges that she “did willfully and unlawfully mingle a harmful substance with food or drink” In short they are saying she tried to poison two people, one a child identified only as Jane M. Doe and the other victim an adult, Daniel Plowman.

The new charges include a count of child abuse endangerment relating to the poisoning of the unknown child who apparently was in Huckaby’s care and custody.

    Updated:

The partial remains that were found include the rib cage, spinal column and parts of the right and left legs. An initial examination was not able to determine the sex or race of the remains, much less who it was. The Illinois State Police Forensic Crime Lab is expediting a DNA analysis and hopefully will have more information in the next couple of weeks.

    Original Entry:

The partial skeletal remains of someone have been found on the south bank of the Des Plaines River near Channahon, Illinois according to officials there. An autopsy was being conducted earlier today in order to try and identify the remains. The Illinois State Police are on the scene of the discovery conducting more searches to see if they can turn anything up.

Two unsolved missing persons/possible murders in the area have prompted discussion of the find. One of course is Stacy Peterson who disappeared in October of 2007. Her husband Drew Peterson has been in the mainstream media for quite some time now and has recently pleaded not guilty in murder charges stemming from her disappearance.

One other missing person from the area is Lisa Stebic from Plainfield, Ill, which is about 15 miles from Channahon. Lisa disappeared in April of 2007 and her husband Craig Stebic has been named as a suspect in the disappearance. Let’s hope that for the families of one of these women we might have finally gotten a little closer to finding out what happened.

    jenniferMauck joshuacook

The two fucktards love birds pictured above are Joshua Cook (myspace.com/joshcook18) and Jennifer Mauck (myspace.com/289908642). Somehow these two brainiacs put a brilliant plan into play and decided to go into the local CVS pharmacy in Manassas, VA and rob the place, with a twist of course.

Josh walked into the CVS behind his girlfriend Jennifer and pointed a gun to her head, demanding that the pharmacist give him Oxycontin, at which point Jennifer started to cry. After the pharmacist gave them the pills they left the store.

Apparently they didn’t get very far because U.S. Marshals arrested 19-year-old Joshua Allen Cook and 25-year-old Jennifer Lynn Mauck on suspicion of staging a hostage situation to commit a robbery. I don’t yet know the exact charges that have been filed or where they’ve been lodged. The info I have also doesn’t include the whereabouts of Jennifer’s daughter either. Hopefully with a caretaker that doesn’t need Oxycontin to get through the day.

susanbetancourt1.jpg56-year-old Susan Diane Betancourt (MySpace) of Woodstock, Georgia was arrested in neighboring Kennesaw earlier today after she left a one-year-old child she was babysitting in her car for almost half an hour while she was inside a gas station playing video games. Apparently the windows were down about an inch.

She was arrested earlier this afternoon and charged with cruelty to children and held on $3,000 bond. Either she’s already bonded out or Cobb County hasn’t yet updated their current inmates listing so I don’t have a link to the booking info yet.

According to CBS Atlanta Betancourt is an out-of-work nurse who has been caring for the baby boy since he was born. An officer on routine patrol happened to see the van with the baby inside and went inside the gas station to find the owner of the van.

I don’t know about the gas stations around Kennesaw but judging from all the ones in my area (about 30 miles away) the only “video games” inside of gas stations are of the video poker type, the ones where you win money. Supposedly it’s illegal and they can only let you play for store credit but in reality there are still quite a few that pay out in cash and it’s a real problem for some people.

In 1988 8-year-old April Tinsley was kidnapped, raped and murdered on Good Friday. Her murderer was never caught but over the last decade notes have been popping up in different places admitting to being her murderer and threatening to kill more little girls. The FBI has ramped up their investigation again and is looking for help from the public to finally caught this scumbag once and for all. From the FBI’s press archives:

On a beautiful spring morning in the farm country outside Fort Wayne, Indiana, one of our agents knocks on the front door of a well-kept home. In this quiet neighborhood nearly 20 years ago, an incredible clue appeared in a murder case–a message scrawled on a barn door by the murderer himself.

“I killed 8-year-old April Marie Tinsley,” it said. And there was also this: “I will kill again.”

I’ve been meaning to get this up for several days now and just don’t seem to have gotten around to it (obviously). For more information head over to Tom Folsom’s site and check it out.

THE MAD ONES: Crazy Joe Gallo and the Revolution at the Edge of the Underworld (Weinstein Books; May 5, 2009) is a powerful collision of true crime and pop culture, telling the family tale of the notorious Gallo brothers, Crazy Joe, Larry, and Kid Blast, and bringing to life one of the most vibrant antiheros in American history. Joey is steeped in legend from Bob Dylan’s eleven-minute ballad “Joey” to fictionalizations central to The Godfather trilogy and Jimmy Breslin’s The Gang That Couldn’t Shoot Straight. Robert Kennedy called Joey a “Hollywood Grade B Gangster.”

    Joey Gallo
Truth behind the fiction Coinciding with this year’s 40th anniversary of the publication of The Godfather, in The Mad Ones, author Tom Folsom brings to life the real life events that inspired Mario Puzo and Francis Ford Coppola’s opus. “Sleeps with the fishes?” “Going to the mattresses?” These famous terms originated with the Gallos, once called the toughest gang in New York by the NYPD, hailing from the rough Red Hook neighborhood on the Brooklyn waterfront, now home to IKEA.

Hollywood-worthy ending Here, for the first time, is the complete story of the Gallos’ war against the powerful Cosa Nostra, an epic crime saga that culminates in Crazy Joe’s murder on the streets of Little Italy, where he was gunned down mid-bite into a forkful of spaghetti in 1972. To this day, it is the one of the great, unsolved mob killings.

Not your typical mob book What does the summer of love have to do with gangsters? Capturing the revolutionary spirit of the sixties so popular with the Obama generation from recent Broadway revivals of West Side Story and Hair, Joey aspired to be more than a common hood and immersed himself among the Beatniks and bohemians of the Village. Yearning to live the life of an artist, Joey wrote poetry, painted, and got his kicks devouring existential philosophy. Celebrated as the “king of the streets” by Dylan, Joey was embraced by the nation’s leading cultural figures.

The Mad Ones is a wildly satisfying entertainment and a significant work of cultural history, now the subject of an upcoming major motion picture by Weinstein Films.  Folsom is available to take reporters and film crews around the key sites of The Mad Ones, including Umberto’s Clam House and Elaine’s, where Joey made the rounds of high society with actor Jerry Orbach.

TOM FOLSOM is a writer, director, and producer of television documentaries for A&E and Showtime, and the co-author of Mr. Untouchable, written with its subject, drug-kingpin Nicky Barnes, portrayed in the film American Gangster. Folsom lives in New York City.

Update II – Thad Allen Wick changed his plea and Pinal County allowed him to enter into a plea agreement back in February. He is still stitting in the Pinal County jail and was sentenced on May 5th. I still haven’t been able to find out the results of it but once I do I’ll get it online here. So Thad Wick is only in prison for a year. He made a plea deal on the child sex charges but is serving one year on the Aggravated Assault charge. Thanks to Mr B for the update.

36-year-old Shannan Mysteri Seng has also pleaded guilty and her sentencing is May 11th. From what I have been able to find there has also been a custody hearing since November with her husband attempting to get his children back. Looks like that was under review the last time the records were updated. They’ve been divorced for what looks to be 15 years, although that information could be wrong.

Update – I’ve been accused in the comments by someone wishing to remain of not having the facts in the case. I’ve checked the Pinal County jail and although Shannan had a condition of release review a couple of days ago they are both still incarcerated pending a hearing on December 8th and the charges are still pending. Huh. Guess I do have the facts that are out there at least. If you have something to share and links to the legal documentation I’ll be more than happy to fix any errors.

    Original Post:

This is like the premise of a bad porno flick.

Shannan Seng (http://www.myspace.com/_mysteri_) and her four children live in Queen Creek, Arizona along with Shannan’s boyfriend, Thad Wick. Her kids range in age from 8-14. Back in September they had a house party and at least one of Shannan’s teen daughter’s friends was in attendance. Seng and Wick allowed, allegedly offering her, beer and shots of whiskey at the party. As a result she got pretty drunk and was invited back to the bedroom.

    Sgt. Christian E. Bueno-Galdos

    Sgt. Christian E. Bueno-Galdos
25 years old from Paterson, New Jersey
    3rd Battalion, 66th
     Armor Regiment, 172nd Infantry Brigade
    May 11, 2009
     U.S. Army

On Mother’s Day, Eugenia Gardos made a tabletop shrine to her recently deceased mother — surrounding her photograph with silk roses, a small white rosary cross, two votive candles and a prayer card of Senor de los Milagros, the patron saint of Peru.

The next day, May 11, she added her son’s picture to the shrine for the dead.

Sgt. Gardos was killed along with five fellow servicemen; Army Spc. Jacob D. Barton, Army Maj. Matthew P. Houseal, Navy Cmdr. Charles K. Springle and Army Pfc. Michael E. Yates Jr. in the attack on Camp Liberty.

“The first time he left for Iraq, when they would read the lists of the dead on the news, we used to hold our breath, praying he wasn’t on it,” his mother said. “I don’t understand how he could have died this way. I just don’t understand it.”

Sgt. Galdos had emigrated with his family from Mollendo, Peru, as a child and had been a U.S. citizen since high school. His mother, two older brothers and older sister recalled how he used to hand out candy to children in Iraq the same way he always did in Paterson — never making a trip to the corner bodega without a group of neighborhood children tailing behind, knowing he would buy them candy or a soda.

“We were all here at home,” Carlos Bueno, Sgt. Galdos’s father, said. “I was getting ready to go to bed when I heard screaming downstairs. I ran downstairs and everyone had thrown themselves to the floor, thrashing around, screaming.”

Bueno said he does not feel bitterness toward the man accused in the shootings, whom he described as “mentally ill.”

“We want people to know we’re proud of our son’s Army, but if my son had died in war we would be able to handle that,” he said. “But not to die in this manner.”

Updated – Ok, quick trial. The jury found Michael Clay guilty yesterday on the assault charges and he faces up to 35 years on those. He still has charges to answer for in Richmond County that include rape, sodomy and murder.

Original Entry – Yes, I said trial(s). Michael Clay has been lodged without bond for quite some time now (over three years) on seventeen different criminal counts including murder, assault and rape. Michael is allegedly a serial rapist who would then beat the women that he raped. His first trial is in Richmond County Superior Court and will be on two charges of aggravated assault. Supposedly the charges have been broken up because they are not all related, which is true to some extent but I think what it really comes down to is the fact that prosecutors want to make sure he gets as much time as possible. That’s a good thing.

The two assaults have to do with the fact that he ran over David Barnes with his car on February 12th, 2006. That’s the same day that he allegedly beat his girlfriend Kimberly Wright, breaking her teeth. He’s pleaded not guilty to both of the charges. His arrest triggered his being identified as a suspect in the other crimes, including beating a woman into a coma behind a bar. She died ten months later.

Police also managed to get enough DNA evidence to link Clay to three other rapes in which the women were sexually assaulted and beaten between 2000 and 2003. He’s also been accused of beating and robbing another woman in 2006.

It’s always been my understanding that while it’s stupid and will eventually lead you to jail, dealing drugs is supposed to be fairly lucrative. I guess from the looks of his latest two mug shots he might just be sampling his own wares, which would tend to be a serious loss in income for the guy. Luckily Largo, Florida police were there to held him see the error of his ways.

Shortly after midnight yesterday morning the Largo PD stopped 19-year-old Mario Jarvis Key of Dunedin for not having a light on his bicycle. Yep, the unlucky dude was riding his bicycle around Largo after midnight. I’m sure he was delivering cookies to his grandma at that time of the evening.

When the officers attempted to stop Mario he decided that the best course of action would be to run. During his attempted escape he dumped his sweatshirt and a bag. Key didn’t get very far and inside his bag was another bag which contained marijuana, plastic bags and a scale. In his sweatshirt he had a loaded pistol. oops. I guess it wasn’t your best night, huh Mario? Anyway, the second picture is from his current arrest. He’s been charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Sell, Manufacture or Deliver, Possession of a Firearm with Altered or Removed Serial Number and Resisting Arrest. He was released around noon yesterday on a $15,000 bond. I guess I was wrong, he does have some money.

The first photo was from his arrest back in January in Clearwater for Home Invasion Robbery. It looks like the charges on that one may have been dismissed though. There has been no update on the case since February 20th.

Sexual predation isn’t just a product of American Society. You just need to read the news from almost any country to see that. Unfortunately it’s much more accepted or overlooked in some segments and religions. Judging from the way that 35-year-old Islamic Imam Yasser Mohamed Shahade allegedly treated a 13-year-old boy in Tampa, Florida he really didn’t care about the laws and customs of the country he’s been staying in.

A 13-year-old boy was staying overnight at the Tampa Masjid Omar Al Mohktar mosque for early prayers when he was allegedly sexually assaulted by Imam Shahade. Tampa police received a phone call Sunday morning reporting the incident and they responded to Tampa General Hospital, where the boy was being treated. Sunday night they showed up at the mosque and arrested Shahade who is being held with no bond.

    John E. Morrison

John E. Morrison, a music teacher at Romeo Elementary School in Dunnelon, FL was arrested this morning on charges of molesting two of his students according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The 62-year-old teacher was charged with one count of lewd and lascivious behavior and two counts of battery.

One of the girls, a 7-year-old, reported that Morrison had her sit on his lap and he moved his hand up her pant leg to the middle of her thigh. The other girl said that he held his hand on her butt and on another occasion put his hand down her shirt.

Morrison admitted to some of the inappropriate behavior but said that he never put his hand down the child’s shirt. Morrison has had all positive evaluations, since pedophiles don’t usually act out when they are being observed, and the Marion County School District has placed him on paid administrative leave pending the investigation. He bailed out of jail earlier today on $27,000 bond.
