National ID Card

I just can’t get my head around this. I most definately don’t agree. We already have plenty of ID cards, just do like the State of Georgia is trying to get passed, and require photo ID (drivers license, etc). The Federal Government already has plenty (too much) information about us as it is. It should be none of their fucking business how much I make, where I want to live, etc.

Getting ready to install the Microsoft® “Avalon” and “Indigo” Community Technology Preview. If my system crashes and I don’t post for a couple of days, that is what the problem is.

FBI wants radical logs

Slashdot | FBI Demands Logs From Radical Website
sunbird writes “The details are as yet unclear due to a gag order, but apparently the FBI is once again demanding IP logs from dissident webservers. The sysadmin for flag.blackened.net, best known for hosting infoshop.org and the Anarchist FAQ has responded to an FBI request for server logs. Although he cannot reveal the details of the request due to the gag order, the sysadmin has issued an informal press release discussing his reasons for turning over the information.

Perhaps he didn’t want to go to fucking jail. Hahaha

MySQL

Sweet. Now that I am not running the blog on my own server I don’t use MySQL for alot, but I do use it a bit, and have plans to use it even more later.

Terry Schiavo

Did you really think it could have gone any other way. They need to let the poor woman die and rest in peace. Fuck, now even the federal goverment is involved, which means that wills and estates may end up being affected. This is something that has traditionally been controlled by local governments and the states.

Fairtax

I really like the fact that Neal is still posting (and TALKING) about the fairtax. We really need to get this going. Yes, I agree that we need to do something about social security. I don’t like Social Security simply because when I die, my children don’t get to keep my hard-earned cash. Nope, it’s for the government to keep, since they basically took it at gunpoint. The Fairtax would fix Social Security, it would pay for it. Check out the Fairtax web site for more info.

The lost camera

Hell yes. Awhile back (last Easter I think, maybe last summer), Stephanie lost our fucking digital camera in Hilton Head. Her friend Niqui found the bastard in a stroller she had been using. Good fing deal. Damn thing cost me $350 and although we have replaced it, the Kodak was much nicer. What I really want is a digital SLR, but these two should do for awhile. Maybe when I get my damn Best Buy card paid down a little more I can plunk down the $7 or $800 for a nice one.

Smoking

Think I may quit smoking when this pack runs out in a couple of hours. Stephanie quit around four months ago, and she has done pretty well considering I still smoke. As she says, it may take a couple of months of fucking tranquilizers for me to actually quit. Actually I will be fine, it will be the rest of humanity that I come in contact with that is going to fucking suffer. The big thing is that I like smoking for the most part, but I can feel it starting to fuck with me. I have smoke for about 25 years, anywhere from one to three packs a day for the last 20. I’m the guy that gets up at 2am just cause I have to have a smoke. Guess I will just have to see how it goes. Wish me luck (and my fucking employees too).

Sin City

Just finished watching a couple of trailers for Sin City and I must say, it looks pretty damn cool. I think that Chris and I are going to have to go see it on my day off next week. He is on spring break, so that would work out nicely. I haven’t read any of Frank Miller’s stuff since the Dark Knight books, but he is certainly creepy enough.
