I was over at T1G’s place doing something I haven’t had opportunity to do in quite some time, actually visit friends and comment. One of my favorite things to do that got me involved in blogging is just reading their stuff and generally lurking about, you know, like a stalker with an occasional comment. Here lately it seems that the only thing I do is work, come home and try to make some money online, work some more, post more paid crap, go back to work and maybe get three hours of sleep. Fucked up.
Anyway, the wife and girls are at a friend’s house this evening. I am supposed to go back to work tonight but I think I am going to skip it. I have called my relief manager and let him know that he needs to do drawer change tonight and the manager trainee is going to do the other one. I need some check-out time.
What I was actually going to do was comment on his post in which he put the B-52’s Rock Lobster. I love that song. Hell, I love most of their stuff. I am not sure what it is. 99% of what I listen to is heavy metal, you know ‘death to false metal’ and all of that crap, and classic rock. There are a few bands though that for some reason I just like. One is the B-52s. Here’s the video he posted.
I don’t know what it is. I think it must be the raw energy that they put forth. Their later stuff was kind of lame and didn’t capture that energy.
One more from back in the 80’s that doesn’t fit into anything I like is Bauhaus. I have two or three of their early albums and one of my favorite songs is Bela Lugosi’s Dead. This is Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails and Peter Murphy from Bauhaus performing the song.
Happy Halloween!! Well, almost. It certainly feels like it with my current desktop. Stardock has updated their R.I.P. desktop with the newest features from the skinned components included in the theme and release it for free for Wincustomize subscribers as well as with any purchase of a premium skin from the store. Most of the premium skins run less than $10 so you are getting two for the price of one. Here’s what mine looks like right now.
This is one kick-ass theme. The little ghost on top of the start menu is animated and moves back and forth from the tombstone to the right edge.
There are more screen-shots at Wincustomize to look at as well. As you can see I finally changed my user icon in Windows to match the avatar I’ve been using on most of my web sites as well.
Some of the goodies included in the theme are:
One more thing that they have done is to release a Dream as well. Dream Scenes are animated desktops that work under Windows Vista Ultimate. It’s the same background, only animated. You can download it for free here if you have Vista Ultimate Extras installed. It’s one of the very few extras that Microsoft has actually released since May and is very cool particularly when it is extended with Stardock’s Deskcapes

Five Teachers at an on-campus elementary school at Gambling State University face sanctions after a noose was placed around a students neck, part of a lesson on racism.
What I want to know is exactly what type of lesson it is that they were trying to teach that has any bearing on modern society that doesn’t keep on promoting a society of hate and more racism?
An Oregon high school teacher says she is living in fear, and has a right to protect herself and her students.
I think this is great but I seriously don’t see her winning the suit.
This is the third Manowar tune I ever heard. I can’t find the videos for the first couple, Warlord (not Return of the Warlord) and one off of the Battle Hymn album whose name escapes me right this second.
This is a pretty darned good one. A tribute to the victims of Reverend Jim Jones…
…that I took the time last night to schedule those posts for today because after working all day and then sitting in meetings until 6:30 tonight I am tired as hell. This is the only thing I will actually post about today. It’s getting worse at work and I am seriously stressed.
This is race weekend (Talledega) and I have no idea how busy I will be at work over the next four days. I am going to hit the sack soon and I will try and schedule some posts for tomorrow when I wake up in the morning, provided I get up at a decent time.

I think I can do without each and every one of those things for as long as I live. I never say never but for some reason I doubt like hell ANY of it tastes like chicken.
