It Sucks When It's Someone You Know – Seven U.S. troops killed in Iraq

One of the teachers that my wife works with found out that her son was killed last night in Iraq. Our thoughts go out to her and her family. With my son graduating from Parris Island at the end of the week I can only imagine the horrible feeling she must have right now. The wife and I haven’t really discussed it but she was pretty distraught over the whole thing.

Our brave children are doing something that they believe in and deserve all of our support as do the families of those slain and those who are currently on active duty.

  • Leonard Pitts Jr, Then and Now

A local radio show played the column on the left below as a testiment to where we were at the day after September 11th.  I found it interesting to see where that author is now compared to where he was.
