I only discriminate against stupidity
My boss had to work for a few hours last night along with the rest of the managers at her level cleaning up a store that belongs to someone else. All I can say is that I am glad it wasn’t me. They are wanting to take my store away from her and have me answer straight to the boss at the next level up. It’s mainly just internal politics and bullshit. It probably would mean a tiny bit more money for me, and I have run restaurants before with no boss, but it is more of a pain in the ass than anything. The bad thing is that she is threatening to quit if they do it. That would probably place me in HER job.
While I wouldn’t mind having three stores, I don’t particularly want HER stores. I guess I can’t be that choosy, at least it would keep me local, but the money wouldn’t be quite as good in her district, and she has been there for eight years, and both of her other managers are big pains in the asses.
I am going to have to think about this one for awhile. I have a discrimination investigation going on in the meantime anyway, so after that the whole thing might be a moot point. I didn’t realize that stupidity was a protected minority, but apparently so.

I’d meant for the sign to say “Smoking Hot Mullets”, of course, but I was drunk at the time of writing. Or the time of spray-painting, as the case may be.
I was wondering if you were going to show up for the party.
The beating continues…
