Updated 10/14/08 – Casey Anthony has been indicted by a grand jury on seven counts including 1st Degree Murder and is in police custody. More info here.
I ran across a report earlier that a cadaver dog might have gotten a hit near the airport. and apparently MissingAbducted is hearing it’s one of Gale St. John’s dogs.

    Updated September 3rd 2008 7:00 PM
According to FOX News someone close to the Caylee Anthony investigation confirmed that there were significant levels of chloroform found in the car used by Casey Anthony. The very same car in which it has been identified that Caylee Anthony’s dead body was kept in the trunk.

This is the same car that was found abandoned that investigators said contained traces of human decomposition.
Also sources said one of the computers taken as evidence from the Anthony home showed that someone had been searching for information on chloroform and how to use it.

Chloroform was developed back in the 1800s and used to be used as an anesthetic. Breathing it in depresses the nervous system and can cause dizziness or unconsciousness. You can also die if too much is inhaled.
The Anthony’s also met with high profile lawyer Mark NeJame today to discuss the case. The family feels like the media has lost the focus of the search for Caylee Anthony. They have not retained him as their attorney but he does say that he would make himself available.
All along I have assumed that Caylee died through an accident. Drowning, overheating in the car, whatever. Then Casey just mishandled EVERYTHING about it from the time she should have called 911 all the way up until today. This changes everything and is very unsettling to me. It throws and even more unknown into the picture and could point at something very dark. It also gives the defense something as well to point at the fact that maybe Caylee was kidnapped…
One of the news channels, WFTV Channel 6 mentioned during it’s 6pm news cast that a cadaver dog had alerted in an area near the airport and then showed a bit of home video from the spot, promising more details at 11pm. That most likely means nothing substantial was found but they may have to do tests to see what’s up with the area.

    Updated September 3rd 2008 4:00 PM
Big news in the search for Caylee Anthony today. While they have not found her body yet Tim Miller and EquuSearch were considering calling it a day, packing their stuff and heading out somewhere else in the country where they want his help. Judging by the shitty turnout the last five days it’s obvious that nobody in Orlando wants/needs him, or at least it looks that way. Tim Miller believes it’s because people are losing faith in the Anthony Family. It’s not like they haven’t given the public plenty of reasons to lose faith.

Tim Miller said he’s upset because Cindy Anthony keeps saying there is evidence Caylee is alive and was given to a friend. If that’s the case, he wonders why she called and asked for his help and wonders why he should continue searching.
If it wasn’t for the sheriff calling and offering to provide assistance, he might have taken his search team somewhere else.
“If that is the truth, that she gave this child to a family to take care of Caylee, I’m upset because we have spent $28,000 for this case and we’re getting calls from all over the country that want our service that has a legitimate missing child,” Miller told Eyewitness News.

Orange County sheriff Kevin Beary is donating $5,000 in seized drug money to EquuSearch in order to assist them in the search. According to the sheriff Tim Miller and associates have been an invaluable help in the search for Caylee Anthony and their search efforts have eliminated several areas of interest to law enforcement. In addition to the $5k the sheriff’s department will also be providing patrols and airboats to help in the search as well.
They are also going to have a drone that can fly over areas and take pictures of areas and possibly notice differences that most of us would not see just by looking at it. Today the lead investigator John Allen as well as several FBI agents, have been searching beside Texas EquuSearch in their search.
The sheriff also announced a bunch more help coming their (TES) way. 80 alumni from the Civilian Police Academy, some civilian agency members as well as members of the Moose Lodge will all be coming out to help in the search.
Hopefully the extra manpower will give TES the help they need to find Caylee Anthony.
The Sheriff’s Department also filed some more charges against Casey Anthony as well. Two counts of writing a bad check, two counts of petty theft and two counts of fraudulent use of personal identification. Doesn’t look like Casey is getting out anytime soon, regardless of whether or not they ever find Caylee.
    In even weirder news related to the case Leonard Padilla was on Nancy Grace again last night. I don’t generally watch Nancy Grace so I missed it and heard about it for the first time when someone emailed me this morning. Unfortunately I’ve been at work all day and haven’t had the chance to verify it. Anyhow, Leonard had this to say last night;

“When the FBI, who has got some of the finest labs in the world, comes back with their DNA, it’s going to shock the world over something that Lee, Casey and Cindy have known since Wednesday when they released their preliminary findings. And also, the dumpster a mile and quarter down from the boyfriend Tony’s house is going to play a big part in this.

    He was also on the show last week and had some comments to make about having bailed Casey Anthony out of jail as well;

After reading it (the 400 pages released to the public), I don’t believe I would have talked my nephew Tony Padilla into posting the bond. And I don’t think I would have come to Orlando after reading that. I mean, I’m still hoping that little girl’s alive, but there’s a lot of information in those 400 pages that would lead those people to believe something different

    Older updates under the fold…

Updated 10/14/08 – Casey Anthony has been indicted by a grand jury on seven counts including 1st Degree Murder and is in police custody. More info here.
    Updated August 31st 6:30PM
Texas EquuSearch continued their hunt for Caylee Anthony today but they had help from the Orange County Sheriff’s department today. Law Enforcement sent up their helicopter with infrared equipment courtesy of TES in order to help map the search area and look for things like disturbed areas or fresh tire tracks.
They are also asking for help from the public in the search, which should have been done six weeks ago when Caylee was first reported missing. How the heck are they going to look for fresh tire tracks after Fay passed through the area? I suppose it’s possible that they could still find something but I think it’s too little too late. At the very least it makes their search that much harder.
There were about 150 searchers today and they mainly focused on a wooded area north of the airport.

Texas EquuSearch started looking for Caylee Anthony today with a group of about 175 volunteers. Not quite as many as they had been hoping but it does show some folks care and want the child to be found. How many of the folks camped outside the Anthony household last night cheering when Casey was arrested do you think took part int he actual work of the search? Maybe I have less faith in humanity than I should but I doubt many of them took part or if they did they won’t be back. Natural human curiosity may have brought some of them out but that wears off fast.
TES and the volunteers searched some of the swamps in the Orlando area as well as around the airport using an airboat as well as horses and ATVs.
TES has taken part in over 900 searches since their inception and the founder Tim Miller said,

We still have that glimmer of hope that Caylee is still out there alive but our experience in 920-plus searches is that this is probably not going to end up good.

They are also looking for volunteers for another search tomorrow morning and will be meeting early Sunday at the Holiday Inn located at 5750 TG Lee Blvd. If you are local and really want to help out, that’s the place to be.

    America's Most Wanted

    Image via Wikipedia

…actually it’s more of a lack of any kind of updates in this story. Hopefully within the next 48 hours after the story airs tonight we will get more information from some of the great folks that watch.
I haven’t heard much in the way of what is going on in the Gonzalez investigation and had to hunt just to find any news. Sucks how much other cases are in the news but this one is basically buried.
Via Trench Reynold’s Gonzalez posts (one of the few writing about hime) I came across this story over at the Boston Globe by Jonnelle Marte. Police are still assuming that Giovanni is alive and Thursday the 28th about 25 investigators from local police, FBI and the state police met to discuss their strategy and what they need to be doing.

“We are pursuing it that he is still alive,” Lynn Police Captain Mark O’Toole said during a news conference yesterday about Giovanni Gonzalez, who was reported missing Aug. 17 by his mother two days after she dropped him off at the home of his father, Ernesto L. Gonzalez Jr., 36. “We have nothing at this time to suggest otherwise.”
Investigators have been distributing a missing person flier that will be aired tomorrow on “America’s Most Wanted,” a move detectives hope will draw national attention to the case. The flier shows a picture of a smiling Giovanni beside a police photo of his father, a Puerto Rican native with a dark goatee.

I’m glad that the folks from America’s Most Wanted have taken an interest in it and am planning on watching. Don’t know if anything new will show up but you never know. I don’t have a copy of the flier and haven’t seen one on the net yet but once I get hold of a copy I will post it here.

“We don’t know whether he’s still in Lynn, whether he’s still in Massachusetts,” O’Toole said of the boy at yesterday’s news conference at police headquarters. “We don’t know who he might be with.”
O’Toole said police have no evidence to suggest the boy has been taken out of the country.
Detectives who searched the father’s apartment became alarmed when they found a blood-stained mop and blood on the cap of a cleaning product, both of which were tested. Steve O’Connell, a spokesman for Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett, maintained yesterday that he could not discuss the blood test results because the investigation in ongoing. Investigators received the results Wednesday.

Some of the other items taken from the apartment that I listed a couple of posts ago include the aforementioned mop and cleaner, a knife, toys and lighter fluid. Knife and lighter fluid? Damn.
Something else I wasn’t aware of was the fact that Daisy Colon and Ernesto Gonzalez apparently had a verbal agreement to keep on having scheduled visits until the middle of September when they were to return to court to work out custody and visitation rights. I wonder that the father was worried that he might lose visitation?

Updated 10/14/08 – Casey Anthony has been indicted by a grand jury on seven counts including 1st Degree Murder and is in police custody. More info here.
Casey’s Bond has definitely been revoked. Details lower in the entry or click here.
I had to run in to work for shift change and while there I received an email that Casey has been arrested. I don’t have any details but will be updating this post as I get confirmation. Orange County deputies are holding a press conference right now as well according to Central Florida News13 so if you get that station you can check it out.
9:52PM – According to the Orlando Sentinel Orange County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the Anthony House around 8:30PM and came back out about three minutes later with Casey Anthony in handcuffs. So far we don’t know what the charges are, although I would imagine murder.
10:59PM – Remember those people I was bitching about earlier? Apparently a couple of dozen showed up at the house tonight. The Sentinel has that story:

More than two dozen people tonight are milling around Hopespring Drive outside the home of Casey Anthony — the mother of missing 3-year-old Caylee Marie.
Some started yelling at the house. One woman who identified herself as Kittie Gonzalez walked by the house chanting “Casey is a murderer! She needs to go back to jail!”
Casey Anthony’s mother, Cindy, came outside and spoke to Gonzalez for several minutes. As reporter swarmed the two, Anthony invited Gonzalez inside to sit down and talk. She asked her to calm down so her blood pressure would not rise.
Gonzalez asked Cindy Anthony if she asked her daughter where Caylee is located.
“Yes and she doesn’t know,” Cindy Anthony replied.
Other people began yelling at Anthony and eventually she went back inside.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg though. There were even nicer people there,

Two women in a Ford Explorer drove by with “Rot in jail Casey Anthony” written on the window.
Two teenagers and a 23-year-old from Christmas showed up carrying signs that read “Casey Anthony is a baby murderer and Rot in Jail” and “Who is the bigger liar? Cindy Anthony or Killer Casey? May God have mercy on you. God knows the truth and so does detectives. Baby killer!”
“She deserves to go in jail,” said Ashley Griffin, 23, as she stood on the sidewalk in front of the Anthony house.
James Harris, 15, who was there with his sister and mother, agreed.
“The baby is dead,” he said.
Harris’s mother, Cathy, said they plan to be out there every night at 7 p.m.
She was there when members of Texas-based EquuSearch, a group of volunteers that help search for missing people, arrived in and went inside the house.
When Cindy Anthony opened the door for the volunteers, Cathy Harris yelled “liar!”

These people just need to get a life or something…
10:02PM CFNews 13 says she has been arrested on an economic violation. WTF does that mean?
10:04PM I think I’m going outside for a smoke, maybe I can find some video by the time I get back in :(
10:10PM Still haven’t had that smoke yet:

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) –Casey Anthony the mother of missing toddler Caylee Anthony, is back in law enforcement custody.
The arrest Friday night took place just after 8:30 pm from her parent’s home in East Orange County and happened as a large crowd of protesters on the street in front of the home. Casey Anthony was led from the home in handcuffs amid cheers from those gathered outside.
She was then placed in an unmarked Sheriffs Office car and whisked from the scene.
The Sheriffs Office said that the charges were fraud charges related to economic and not due to her daughters disappearance.

It sounds to me as if someone in the sheriff’s office decided that the crowd was going to get ugly and turn into a lynch mob. With Casey in jail they damn sure can’t hang her. I think I made that point earlier when I was raising hell about the assholes hanging out in front of the Anthony home.
10:13PM It was for writing bad checks. She’s accused of stealing more than $600 from a friend (that would be Amy). I was wondering if charges would ever be filed on that. Her bond is $3000 but considering the ugly crowd in the area right now they may just leave her in jail to cool her heels.
10:35PM has to take a little break there. RePete, the five-year-old got stung by a wasp or maybe bit by a spider, not sure. Had to get the wife to find the benadryl, now she’s hanging out with me so I can keep an eye on her.
10:45PM – Jose Baez is claiming that it’s an attempt to rattle his client and was designed to put Casey Anthony in the worst possible light in front of the media. I honestly think that they did it to protect her from what has been shaping up to be a lynch mob myself. Contrary to what defense attorneys like Baez think law enforcement generally wants to protect us, even when the ‘us’ is a piece of crap like Casey Anthony.
11:15PM – Other than discussions on the boards I think that’s all the news we are going to get tonight. I have to get up in five hours so I’m hitting the sack. Until tomorrow then…
August 30th 5:55AM I found some video of the arrest from the AP. Listen to the fools screaming in it when she is taken from the house. Damn, that’s creepy. If it doesn’t sound like a lynch mob I don’t know what does and regardless of the charges I think the timing was set up as it was to protect her over the three day weekend.

This gives law enforcement a bit of time to shore up their case and also gives Texas EquuSearch some breathing room in which to hopefully find Caylee. I’m sure that they could go ahead and charge her but the evidence isn’t solid enough to 100% guarantee a conviction and if she’s found not guilty she can’t be retried for the crime. The police are better off biding their time and holding her on these petty charges until they can get enough evidence that she killed her daughter. I’ll post more Caylee Anthony updates as I get them. Have to head in to work until 2PM so if I do send any updates out it will be through Twitter and will show up here as well, but on the main page.
August 30th 3:10PM – Nicole, in some of the other comments, clued me into the fact that Leonard Padilla and the group from California had decided to revoke Casey Anthony’s bond, so she is in jail indefinitely. She won’t go to court until November on the current charges so unless Caylee is found alive between now and then (which ain’t gonna happen) she’s stuck there. Probably the best place for her right now.
Padilla revoked the bond early this morning.
In addition to the $500,200 bond that she now has (once again) she is currently charged with Uttering a Forged Instrument, Fraudulent use of Personal Information and Petty Theft. She did see a judge on those charges this afternoon and bail is another $3,000 which is standard for those charges so in order to get out again she needs to come up with $503,200. And monkeys are gonna fly out of my butt.
One thing I noticed when I stopped by the FOX mobile webcam thing is that the RV is either gone or has been moved to a different location. I guess since they rescinded Casey’s bond the Anthonys don’t want them parked out front anymore :)
3:45PM OK, I found out over at Websleuths that Padilla has been gone since about 2:30 this morning. Someone made the comment that either he might be going back home or to Massachusetts. Only thing I know of up north that he might be interested in would be Giovanni Gonzalez.
7:59PM Sprocket sent me a link to this Youtube video of Cindy doing an interview with the Today show…

As I mentioned in the comments below to Sprocket (who posts a lot about crime and criminals including the hunt for Caylee Anthony) he is right on the money about her drinking the Kool-aid. I do know one thing though, those folks outside of her house were just WAY out of hand.

Updated 10/14/08 – Casey Anthony has been indicted by a grand jury on seven counts including 1st Degree Murder and is in police custody. More info here.
Update August 29th 10:50PM – Casey has been re-arrested for writing bad checks.
I’ve been doing stories, actually more reports, on missing people ever since Natalee Holloway disappeared in 2005. Something about them just draws me and I have to write about them. I don’t know what it is exactly but I guess it’s a minor obsession or something. Could be worse. I could be writing about goat fucking rastafarians all the time. That tends to get old though…
Anyway, after having watched the video of George Anthony this evening throwing shit off of his property and getting into it with the little idgit that was camped out front, chairs, umbrella, table and even a little U.S. flag, I got to thinking about how hard it must be on him and the rest of the family. There are a couple of schools of thought on the matter. Lots of folks think that Cindy and George Anthony are ‘in on it’ and trying to cover up for Casey Anthony and whatever heinous crime she has committed and a smaller portion of people are saying ‘damn, it must suck to be her parents’. I sort of straddle the middle. I think that they are just heartbroken over the loss of their grand-daughter and regardless of whether they believe Casey or not they are just trying to keep some kind of sanity and hope amidst everything else.
Little fucking geek camped out in front of my house? Yeah, I would have to kick his ass out too, maybe back the fuck over him as I left the house the little douchebag. While I do think that the media has overplayed this a bit they are just doing what we as Americans ask them to do. If it wasn’t Caylee the Anthonys would be glued to the TV watching just like everyone else.
Hell, the reporters even have a freaking mobile webcam out front. It looks like it’s showing the same green chairs that George Anthony threw earlier so maybe it’s the guys from FOX that got thrown off his lawn…
I have to admit, I even watched it for a couple of minutes but had to close the page. Just too damned freaky for me. I know there are folks that are probably keeping that baby open 24/7 so if you see something cool let me know but I have to say I think it’s pretty fucked up. There are lots of people commenting over at the FOX Orlando page that are talking about nothing but these folks and when the webcam went down for a few minutes it was like the second coming of christ or something.

OK, I just read over here that it was protesters and not the media that was on his lawn. Protesters? Yeah, they are protesting and want Casey back in jail. Fucking douchebags. If they want to help they need to go out and find a little two year old, even if it’s just her body. Fucking protesting. Targets.
Supposedly there is a large crowd of protesters headed to the house to demand that Casey Anthony be returned to jail. Mob rule. Sort of like the Salem witch trials ain’t it? That’s why she’s innocent until proven guilty and as far as I am concerned, whther she is guilty or not if you are one of the people headed to her house or wish you were, you are a fucking douchebag and I hope that they lock the lot of the fuckers up. Then again, is what they are doing so different than what we are, just on a more immediate scale?
Regardless of what is going on, I guess the bottom line is that the Anthonys are in so much denial about their daughter and granddaughter that it is just blinding them to the truth. I’m sure we all know someone like that. I still feel sorry for them though.
Enough of my bitching, I know there’s only a couple of you that come here for that. Earlier when I updated the entry on Leonard Padilla Returning (NOT) Casey Anthony to Jail I mentioned some emails that had been sent concerning the limited immunity offer. Here they are…

While the Essex district attorney won’t say what the results are from the blood tests performed on the mop and bottle of pine cleaner found in the apartment belonging to Ernesto Gonzalez he does say that he is optimistic that Giovanni is still alive.
Giovanni disappeared two weeks ago at some point after his mother Daisy Colon dropped him off for his father’s weekend visit in Lynn, MA. When she went to pick him up on Sunday Ernesto wouldn’t answer the door and it had to be broken down. He claimed that she never dropped Giovanni off and that he had not seen him although witnesses can place the two together on Saturday morning and afternoon.
Police found a bloody mop and bottle of cleaner with blood on it as well in his apartment and are worried that Gonzalez may have killed his five-year-old son.
While there hasn’t been a lot of media in this case that seems so much like the case of missing Caylee Anthony, it should get a bit of a boost this weekend when the story airs on America’s Most Wanted.

Lots of information on this weeks updates below. Head over to AMW to get more information on any of them using the links provided if you want to go straight to that page.

Hiers_Dan_lg1.jpgDan Hiers: Dan Hiers — a former cop as well as an accused murderer and child molester — is on the U.S. Marshals’ 15 Most Wanted List, and John Walsh has added him to his Dirty Dozen list — the notorious group of fugitives he wants to see taken off the streets the most. Cops say he killed his wife, stole her truck, and fled three years ago, and he hasn’t been seen since.

hyatt_lg1.jpgRoy Hiatt: Cops say Roy Stephen Hyatt is a convicted sex offender on the run who still has an appetite for children. Police are looking for him on charges of downloading, possessing, and possibly distributing child pornography.

Garcia_prim_lg.jpgDionne Garcia: After several years of hard work, the Chicago FBI’s Joint Task Force on Gangs was able to indict 52 people in relation to the manufacture and distribution of PCP on the streets of the Windy City. Of all those indictments, only two people remain on the run. Agents say Dionne Garcia fled after being charged, probably with her common-law husband and their four children.
    http://www.amw.com/fugitives/brief.cfm?id=47427

PHONELOPEZ_lg.jpgJose Orlando Lopez: Jose Orlando Lopez has been deported twice for crimes committed in the U.S., and authorities still can’t seem to get rid of him. They say Lopez has so little respect for this country that he raped a stranger on a busy street in New York. Police believe he’s running from his latest charges from 2004 to prevent being deported, again.

primary_large.jpgTaizhi Cui: In October 2006, Los Angeles’ Korean community was shocked by a triple murder that happened in their own backyard. Cops say the deaths were the work of a jilted lover hell-bent on getting revenge on an ex-girlfriend and her new paramour. However, authorities are still looking for the man they say pulled the trigger … Taizhi Cui.
    http://www.amw.com/fugitives/brief.cfm?id=44720

Cofer_lg7.jpgKenneth Cofer: The fugitive task force in Oklahoma City hasn’t forgotten about Kenneth Cofer — and neither have we. Despite confusion about numerous look-alikes, Cofer is still a free man.

cerda_Edmundo_For_Web_lg.jpgEdmundo Cerda-Anima: The manhunt for accused killer Edmundo Cerda-Anima has led agents south of the border. Investigators believe the former Hurricane Katrina contractor may be going back and forth between the U.S. and Mexico — and if he’s caught, he’ll have to answer for a lot more than crossing the border.

plemons_wil_lg.jpgWilliam Plemons: Police say William Plemons has a reputation as a real romantic … that is, until you get to know him better. Plemons carried on a series of pen pal relationships from behind bars — but according to authorities, he was more interested in money than love. When one woman threatened to unravel his alleged scheme, police say Plemons turned from Casanova … to killer.

San-Diego_Daniel.lg.jpgDaniel San Diego: We’re looking back at the case of Daniel San Diego, accused of using violence to advance his own radical agenda. Law enforcement sources tell AMW he portrays himself as an animal lover and an activist, but the FBI says San Diego is a cold-blooded domestic terrorist — and they need your help to apprehend him.

giovannilg.jpgGiovanni Gonzalez: Police have discovered incriminating evidence against the father of missing 5-year-old Giovanni Gonzalez. Inside Ernesto Gonzalez’ apartment, Massachusetts State Police say they found what appeared to be blood-stained objects — including a mop that was apparently stained with blood and cleaned with bleach.

I’ve written about little Giovanni over here and I am glad to see that this story is getting a little attention now. It’s not that the story has been buried but in between the search for another child in Florida and the Democratic National Convention he has received very little press.

Updated 10/14/08 – Casey Anthony has been indicted by a grand jury on seven counts including 1st Degree Murder and is in police custody. More info here.
Update August 29th 10:50PM – Casey has been re-arrested for writing bad checks.
    Updated – August 29th 4:02PM
Apparently Leonard Padilla’s main concerns over revoking Casey Anthony’s bond had to do with safety and security issues and says that as long as Jose Baez can clear those up he won’t revoke the bond.
Texas EquuSearch is ramping up to start searching for Caylee over the weekend using searchers on horseback, planes, dogs, divers and even a remote controlled plane that can shoot pictures over wooded ares and bodies of water. They are working with the cooperation of the Orange County Sheriff’s department and hopefully will be able to turn something up over the weekend.
According to the Orlando Sentinel’s story Jose Baez has been in touch with the state attorney’s office (and he is the one that approached them) since JULY 25th. Prosecutor Linda Burdick emailed him back on the 29th saying that she hadn’t heard from him about what information Anthony could provide. They discussed it on August 12th and on the 25th they sent another email to Baez letting him know that the immunity would expire on the 28th. Since then of course the immunity has been extended until Tuesday.
The limited immunity would only be for the statements that Casey Anthony made to the law, it would not include any other evidence which WOULD be admissible in court. They offered the immunity in hopes that they could find the child while she was still alive but as the tests keep coming back in and show that Caylee is probably dead it seems pretty slim. The immunity deal is off the table as of Tuesday.

Updated 5:30PM Her bond has been/is in the process of being revoked and the Padillas will return her to the jail on Saturday. I don’t know why the grandstanding and waiting until Saturday unless that is the first day that Al Estes, the bail bondsman in Tampa that bailed her out can’t make it there until then.

Updated 12:29PM According to WESH news reporter Bob Kealing the Orange County Sheriff’s department definitely has the DNA results and is planning a meeting at 3PM after which a statement to the press is possible.
They are also reporting that the immunity offer is on the table until Tuesday although if anymore evidence comes in (such as Caylee’s body) that could change.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Eyewitness News was informed Thursday morning by bounty hunter Leonard Padilla that he’s beginning the process of having Casey Anthony’s $500,000 bond revoked after details emerged that suggest missing 3-year-old Caylee Anthony is dead. Padilla said he’s working to determine the process and hopes to begin it Thursday afternoon or Friday.

The article linked to above says that Leonard Padilla is starting the process to revoke Casey Anthony’s bond. Actually it is Tony Padilla that is or will have to revoke her bond since he’s the bondsman.
I figured it would be but a matter of time before they did this. Hopefully they will get her locked back up before she either runs or kills herself.
I did a little bit of reading on the forensics possibly used in the case and apparently the tests on the hair can show whether they were already dead or not because hair roots show bacteria that has infected the root after someone has died. Also, when someone dies fluid is leaked out of their mouth and nose that can be used to identify DNA.
The Sheriff’s office isn’t commenting on any of the forensics obviously to maintain the integrity of the case. The 400 pages of documents that were released earlier in the week were related to the cases already filed against Anthony. Anything specifically pertaining to new cases does not have to be released until after charges have been filed.

Casey Anthony’s bond revoked, to return to jail on Saturday?

Texas EquuSearch is officially going to Florida to help on the Caylee Anthony search. Caylee’s grandmother called our director, Tim Miller and Tim agreed that we could assist on the search. Beth Holloway, Natalee Holloway’s mother will be with us assisting this weekend. We need everyone’s special prayers on bringing Caylee home safely. Our children make up 25% of our population, but 100% of our future.

Texas EQ has been looking for missing persons since 2000. Tim Miller’s daughter Laura Miller was abducted and murdered in 1984 and the team is dedicated to her memory and is composed of volunteers. If you will remember, they were involved in the search for Natalee Holloway in Aruba after her disappearance as well. For more information on Texas EQ check out CourtTV’s Crime Library “A Profile of Tim Miller and Texas EquuSearch“.

7:30 AM – The Orlando Sentinel is now also reporting that the Orange County Sheriff’s Department has the results back from the FBI’s forensic labs and will be sharing that information with state prosecutors today.
    Updated August 28th 2008 6:30AM
Lake Erie Princess sent me a link last night via email shortly after I went to bed to the video over at WFTV Channel 9. Apparently along with the air test results, preliminary results from the DNA tests on the hair, stain and dirt found in Casey Anthony’s trunk has come in and it shows that it was Caylee’s body in her trunk. Obviously from the other reports on air last night the Anthonys and Jose Baez are refuting this report and saying that is not the reason investigators were at his office yesterday. I suppose we shall know later today if Casey takes the plea bargain or not.
The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that the FBI results have not come back in, so obviously one is either in the know or they are just making shit up in hopes it comes true.

    Updated 6:02PM
I ran across this over at True Crime Report as well. Steve Huff, a respected crime blogger, is reporting that according to WESH the odor results may be admissable in court but that they are not as compelling as DNA results, which is most likely why they have offered her the deal.
If she’s smart she’ll take it. The reports on the hair and stain samples from her car aren’t in yet but I am pretty sure what they will show.

Not that it ever really looked like anything different but the Orange County Sheriff’s department has confirmed that air samples taken from Casey Anthony’s car show that a decomposing body was inside the trunk.
They have offered Anthony a partial immunity deal if she admits that Caylee Anthony died as a result of an accident. If she does take the deal any information that she provides to police wouldn’t be used against her in prosecution.

Danielle Tavernier, spokeswoman for the Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s Office, said they are not disclosing any details of their prosecution, but that Anthony had been “invited to our office to shed light on the disappearance of the victim in this case.”

Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s department are at Jose Baez’s office meeting with her mother Cindy Anthony right now. Casey was there but apparently left at 3PM, right after the police arrived.
FOX News also has the story up:

Detectives and cadaver dogs said they detected the smell of human decomposition coming from the trunk of the Pontiac Casey Anthony was driving when her little girl disappeared more than two months ago.
The University of Tennessee “Body Farm” conducted the tests on the car’s air samples Aug. 10, and on Wednesday their conclusion was released: a human corpse had been decomposing there, according to WESH-2 TV.

I’ve also seen the page at WESH, they have a video report up as well.
According to Fox Orlando in order to take advantage of the plea deal she has 24 hours to take the deal and it’s only valid if she provides concrete information that leads to the discovery of Caylee or her remains.
Cindy Anthony and Jose Baez reportedly left the office at 4:45PM
I will be updating this story throughout the evening starting at the top.
By the way, if any of my reports on this over the last month have been any use to you, please head over to DIGG and give it a digg for me. Thanks!
This is being crossposted to three other sites as well as this one. If you happen to be on one of my other sites the full story and coverage can be found in the Caylee Anthony archives at Shadowscope.

This just keeps getting more and more surreal and ridiculous.
Apparently the Orange County Sheriff’s Department has fired Deputy Anthony Rusciano after he lied about a relationship that he and Casey Anthony had. The story doesn’t really give any kind of details as far as it goes but basically what happened is that Deputy Rusciano admitted to investigators over the phone that he had met Casey Anthony briefly but they came to find out after reviewing her computer records that they had been communicating. According to the chief:

Lying to investigators during the course of any investigation is unacceptable and reason for termination

Rusciano has only been with the department since February so he was still a probationary employee and as of August 22nd he was terminated.

    Update – August 26th 2008 10:25 PM
I mentioned this morning that I would try and update the story this afternoon. No major news right now although one of the stories that is being picked up right now is that bounty hunter Leonard Padilla shoved the singer for a rock band outside of the Anthony house.
Shoved the singer for a band?
Well, apparently this local band in Orlando decided to write a song for Casey. The band is Biteboy and the title of the song is “Casey’s Song (Wine Sick Mind)”. Some of the lyrics include:

So don’t bring me your pain You’re the only one to blame You’re the only one to blame You’re stuck on the outside Got nowhere left to hide

The problem is that the band set up on a flatbed trailer and were playing the song outside of the Anthony’s house. Artists typically express all sorts of different stuff that is going on in song but I think the fact that they were playing it outside of the Anthony’s house was in extremely poor taste and shows what a bunch of assholes they are. So Padilla was trying to run them off and at one point he hit the mic stand which cut the singer. According to the Orlando Sentinel Rick Namey wants to file a complaint against Padilla. Apparently someone caught the incident on video an it’s up on YouTube.

Is it just me or did the little douchebag give Padilla the finger right before he swatted the mic? Not that it’s any excuse but I could see where he might get pissed off. look close and see if you can see it.
Also, the Sentinel has released all of the Discovery documentation. I have embedded it below. If for some reason the embedded document doesn’t work you can download the whole PDF here, but be aware that it is very large, all 431 pages are included.

anthony_docs – Get more Legal Forms

    Update – August 26th 2008 5:31 AM
So the latest news of course is that the Orlando Sentinel made a public records request to the prosecutors in the Casey Anthony child neglect case and received 431 pages of documents which include MySpace postings, comments, interviews with detectives as well as interviews that the detectives made with her friends and family.
There really isn’t anything new in the documentation that they have released but there is a lot of stuff that clears up some supposition on the parts of journalists and other folks out there. It also doesn’t make Casey look any better. It seems as though the Sentinel is going to cull through the stuff and doll it out piece by piece.
There is one key piece of information that might or might not be relevant and that is the fact that Casey wanted to give up Caylee for adoption but her mother insisted that she keep the baby. If this were anything else that would just be a moot piece of info but it certainly tends to give credence to the neglect charge.
Another one is the message that Cindy Anthony posted on her MySpace page on July 3rd, two weeks before Caylee was reported missing.

This precious little angel from above gave me strength and unconditional love…Jealousy has taken her away. Jealousy from the one person that should be thankful for all of the love and support given to her…

Again, taken by itself it’s nothing but the lament of a grandmother who is not able to see her granddaughter, but in context with the rest of what was apparently going on it could be damning.
Jesse Grund, Casey’s ex-boyfriend also stated that Casey had deleted over 200 photos of her and her daughter that had been online. There is nothing in the article to corroborate that but since the records from MySpace are included one has to make the assumption that it’s true. Again, nothing by itself but a key piece of circumstantial evidence.
I made the comment in the post yesterday (below) that the fact Casey Anthony didn’t seem to be worried might also indicate the fact that she is a sociopath. I have also seen that term bandied around on several different websites as well. According to some of the documentation released Cindy Anthony also referred to her daughter as a mooch and a sociopath.
I have a bunch more reading to do this afternoon and will try and update this a bit more then.

I hadn’t planned on writing anymore about the search for Caylee Anthony or about her mother Casey either, at least not today but I have received links to three different stories today and it really pissed me off.
First off is the one over at the Orlando Sentinel, which I have been checking on a daily basis lately. The story starts off by talking about the fact that although 50+ supporters gathered outside of their house last night for a candlelight vigil Casey didn’t join them for her safety.
It goes on to talk about the supposed deadline that Leonard Padilla has given to whoever has Caylee Anthony. Five days and then he comes looking. Five days? You’ve already been there over a week, get the fucking lead out of your ass and help the police already. Anyway, he goes on to talk about the fact that he thinks one of Casey’s friends or a relative of theirs must have little Caylee because Casey does not seem concerned.

Padilla said he doesn’t think Casey Anthony dropped her daughter off with a baby-sitter named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, as she first told police.
Instead, he said, he thinks Casey Anthony left Caylee in the care of friends — perhaps her boyfriend’s relatives or others — while she was “in the process of re-establishing herself and her daughter.”
“I think what she was trying to do was break away from her parents’ home,” Padilla said.
Padilla admits his theory is speculation, saying he has had no contact with law enforcement and can base his theory only on what he’s seen.
But he notes that law-enforcement authorities have not issued an Amber Alert for the little girl — which he says could indicate she wasn’t taken by a stranger.
Casey Anthony’s demeanor also leads him to think Caylee is safe.
“She’s not concerned,” he said. “You’ve seen her. Her demeanor is that of a parent who knows her child is safe.” (emphasis mine)

So Leonard Padilla thinks that Casey is letting someone she trusts watch Caylee Anthony so she can move out of her parent’s house. Someone that must be willing to risk a kidnapping felony. Must be a good fucking friend. I have a lot of friends but I don’t think I have a single one that would hide my children while police think that the child is dead. Hell, that’s risking getting your head blown off by a jumpy cop.
WFLA 540AM in Orlando has a report up and it quotes Padilla as well.

ORLANDO — “She’s not concerned,” Leonard Padilla said. Padilla flew from California to help Casey Anthony, the only ‘person of interest’ in her daughters disappearance, bail out of jail. He helped post the $500 thousand dollar bond on Wednesday night. She walked out of jail on Thursday.
Now that Casey Anthony has been released from jail on bond, her family is asking the media to finally leave them alone. Three-year-old Caylee Anthony had been missing for weeks before she was reported gone. The fact that she was missing finally came to light when her grandparents, Casey’s parents, called the police because they had not seen the girl.
Padilla says he believes the girl is still alive and that she is with Casey’s friends. He says Casey’s demeanor is not one that seems to think her daughter is not safe. He says he will give them five days to find the child before he acts on any leads.

Girls Gab is also talking about the story and basically repeating the same things I read at the other two sites. I just happened on it and figured I would post the link.
    Now I am pissed.
    “She’s Not Concerned”?
“Her demeanor is that of a parent who knows her child is safe”?
What the fuck is up with these people?
Her demeanor is that of a parent who knows her child is safe…
    BULLSHIT!
Her demeanor is also that of a sociopath who just doesn’t give a flying rats turd about what happens.
Sociopath or unworried parent? I guess only time will tell and I hope to god I’m wrong about this.
It’s time to go pick up my own kids from school because I know where they are and as a parent it’s my responsibility to make sure that I always do.

Casey Anthony’s bond revoked, to return to jail on Saturday?
Latest updates can be found here.

Let me start this out by putting up my own theory on this before someone cries that I am an asshole for defending Casey Anthony because I’m not (defending Casey, we all know I’m an asshole).
My personal theory is that Caylee Anthony dies from neglect. Either she drowned or maybe she died in the hot car like you hear about when parents go off to work and “forget” about their children while they go to work. It always makes me cringe when I read news stories like that and there is always one or two every year where their brain-dead parents forget about their children while they go to work or maybe they just didn’t want to deal with them in the grocery store. How fucking stupid do you have to be to leave your child in a car, alone, while you do your grocery shopping? How many hours a week do you have to work before you forget to drop them off at daycare and they fry in their car seat trying to claw their way out? I work seventy hours a week plus come home and write and I’ve never forgotten my kids. I have wanted to on occasion but as a parent I know that their welfare comes first before anything else, no matter what.
Anyway, I figure Caylee Anthony is deceased and the mother freaked out and did away with the body, perhaps moving it at least once. It may turn up in a few months, or a year, or twenty years from now when someone is building a new subdivision but otherwise she’s not going to be found and Casey may do some time for neglect and the other charges she is facing but that’s it.
The media and all of us bloggers out here have had our field day and it will continue for a while but eventually die down until the body is eventually found and then it will return to the forefront for a couple of days and be gone again.
So what happens if she is telling the truth? Law Enforcement has already caught her in any lies and it seems as if she’s been lying to her friends and family for a couple of months but what if there’s that grain of truth as Leonard Padilla put it and Caylee Anthony was kidnapped by the faceless babysitter and is still in her or someone else’s company? Let’s even take that a bit further. What happens when/if Leonard Padilla and the folks with him find Caylee and return her to the mother or someone calls in to the tip line and law enforcement return the child.
Are Family and Children services going to return Caylee to her mother? Not fucking likely.
    What about the grandparents? Possibly.
Who’s she gonna sue first? If it were me it would be Nancy Grace and all of the folks that inferred she was a lying slut for defamation of character. No matter what happens she is always going to be known as “the lying slut who lost her kid”. I guess that would be better than being known as the “lying slut that killed her kid”.
She is obviously irresponsible and there isn’t a court of law in the land that will say any different but under the law she deserves the same rights as anyone else accused of a crime, which is why she’s out on bail now. That’s the way our system works and anyone in the same type of situation that was unfairly accused would want to make sure the system worked as well. Too bad I don’t think she is innocent and just like Giovanni Gonzalez’ father she has killed her kid whether on purpose or inadvertently and tried to cover it up.

    Update – August 24th 4:30PM
According to WESH in Orlando Caylee Anthony’s family wants some peace. Larry Garrison, the spokesman for the family says that Casey Anthony is trying to help her family find Caylee but Cindy and George Anthony are upset with the continuing media coverage that is mainly focusing on the woman’s possible role in Caylee Anthony’s disappearance. Waa fucking waa. Someone call the fucking waahmbulance. Considering that Casey Anthony has done nothing whatsoever to show in any way shape or form that she’s NOT responsible for Caylee’s disappearance or death what the hell do think is going to happen in the media?

I’ve stepped back a bit the last couple of days and haven’t really written much about Caylee Anthony or her mother Casey, who is now out on bail.
There hasn’t been a single useful bit of news to come out of the search for Caylee this week unfortunately. Just reports on her mother, what she is doing and where she has been. I’ll post some of the links here so you can do more reading if you are interested.
There are several caveats to Casey Anthony’s bond which include the fact that she has to wear an electronic ankle bracelet, she has to live with her parents, she cannot travel and as a matter of fact she can’t go ANYWHERE without previously notifying the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Yesterday Casey was scheduled to visit her lawyer’s office from 10am to 4pm and they ended up having to call for an extension to the visit until 5:30 and another for an additional 45 minutes because of rain and traffic. The Orange County Corrections Department stated that this was a one-time extension and they won’t be doing it again.
According to Larry Garrison, the Anthony’s spokesman, Casey is now talking freely and helping them with new leads into the disappearance of little Caylee as well as providing details she couldn’t give in jail. Too bad she’s not talking freely and sharing information with law enforcement, the people that are actually looking for Caylee Anthony.

“There is no doubt that this child has been kidnapped,” said spokesman Larry Garrison, who would not elaborate.

    Yeah. Right.
Mr. Garrison also issued a press release from Cindy Anthony, the victim’s grandmother:

AMW has the story up now at this link. According to them Ernesto is know to the police as a substance abuser.
Police are still searching for Giovanni and today targeted the search on the Pine Grove Cemetary using long poles to probe the underbrush as well as K-9 cadaver dogs, although the State Police said that the hunt continues as a search-and-rescue mission rather than a body recovery exercise. Right now they are trying to cover all of their bases and rule out areas where he might be.
Over the weekend searchers aided by the FBI were stopping cars and handing out flyers that described Giovanni. They are also using roadblocks in Lynn to hand them out as well and are hoping that the flyers will jog someone’s memory that might have seen him on Saturday, the last day that anyone saw him.
He may also be featured on America’s Most Wanted this week, although we won’t know about that until tomorrow.

    Update – August 24th 2008
According to the Dreamin’s Demon a mop and a bottle of Lysol that were found in the apartment belonging to Ernesto Gonzalez has tested positive for the presence of blood. Law enforcement has also taken some other stuff as evidence from the home including a belt, trash bags, a couple of knives, a computer and a cell phone.
I mentioned below that Ernesto was claiming that he hadn’t seen Giovanni since the prior weekend but apparently he took the boy to a behavioral therapist on Saturday from 11AM until 12:30PM. The therapist did see father and son together at that time. Other than neighbors who claim to have seen them Saturday afternoon it’s the last corroborated sighting of Giovanni.
America’s Most Wanted, also has a report up about the case which includes only the actual facts thus far.
Bad Breeders has a post up which asks a question that got me in trouble a couple of years ago. The disappearance of Giovanni is amazingly like what’s going on with Caylee Anthony yet it’s not getting the same airtime from Greta, Nancy, FOX news or anyone else for that matter, and Trench Reynolds wants to know why. Actually I am pretty sure he, like me knows why (does that make any sense?) but is just putting the question out there.
It’s because most of the main stream media are racist, mainly due to the fact that the people that watch them 24 hours a day are as well. Giovanni is a handsome young kid and while I am pretty sure his father killed him he still deserves as much respect and attention as Caylee Anthony. So where the fuck is the media on this?
It’s called Missing White Woman Syndrome. I’ve mentioned it here before on occasion as far back as 2005 when Natalee Holloway went missing and I was blasted in my comments because I mentioned it. I was accused by black people of being a racist, accused by white people of being black, it was ridiculous. All in all there were about a hundred and forty four comments (some my own) and it really shows what a bunch of fucking racists people really are.
Here’s another one for ya’. This story has had 22 page views since I posted it yesterday morning. The Caylee Anthony posts have over 50,000 in the last month. Some of those will be repeats but it damn sure shows something, and it’s not anything good. Nobody cares about Giovanni and that sure as hell sucks.

giovanni.jpgDaisy Colon dropped her son, Giovanni Gonzalez, off with his father Ernesto Gonzalez for a supervised visit last weekend. That was on Friday afternoon, August 18th. On Sunday she went to pick him up and he wasn’t there. Gonzalez claims he ever saw him over the weekend and denies he was ever there, although the neighbors say that they saw both the father and son outside the apartment building on Saturday afternoon.
Ernesto is a native of Puerto Rico and is employed as a machine operator at Old Neighborhood Foods (a meat packing company?) in Lynn, Massachusetts. He is currently being held in the Essex County House of Corrections in Middleton charged with child endangerment. He is being extremely uncooperative and refusing to help police find his son.
Giovanni Gonzalez is described as a Hispanic male, weighs 40 pounds, is about 4-foot-2 and has a slight birthmark on his inner left ankle. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a red shirt and “Spiderman” sandals. He was also holding a black “Transformers” backpack.

    Monday, August 18, 2008
LYNN, Mass. — The Massachusetts State Police and Lynn Police issued an endangered child advisory for a missing 5-year-old boy on Monday.
Giovanni Gonzalez was last seen on Friday, August 15 at 4 p.m. in the area of 2 Brightwood Terrace in Lynn.
He weighs approximately 40 pounds and is 49 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue denim jeans, a red T-shirt, a silver braided chain and black Spiderman sandals.
He was carrying a black backpack that had the Transformers robot character on it, and which contained some on his clothes and toys. He has a faded skin pigmentation mark on the lower right side of his chest and a small scare above his eyebrow.
The child’s father, Ernesto Gonzalez, 36, was arrested Monday and charged with child endangerment in connection with the boy’s disappearance. Despite the arrest, Giovanni’s whereabouts remain unknown.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Lynn Police at 781-595-2000.

The vibe I am getting around the forums and web sites I frequent lean in one of two directions; one that he has sent his son to Puerto Rico and the other, well, let’s just say he works at a meat packing plant…The problem with the first assumption is that he doesn’t own a car, have many known friends and just doesn’t have a ton of resources to hide a missing child.
Police ARE still operating on the presumption that Giovanni is alive. They have searched all manner of businesses in the area as well as dumpsters, a nearby cemetary and a pond near the apartment as well. Investigators also say that Ernesto refuses to explain a cut on his hand and how he got it.
The FBI has also joined in the investigation now and are helping in the search.

Updated September 5th 2008 – I had a couple of commenters stop by earlier today and Debbie let me know that apparently Monica was released from jail last week. I am looking around the web to see if I can find any updates on this story and will post them here.
OK, just found a story over at Journal-News.Net. Monica was released on $100,000 bail last Friday. She has also waived her right to a preliminary hearing which means it’s going to be bound over to the circuit court for possible indictment by a grand jury, which won’t convene until October. She possibly faces life in prison if convicted of murder and up to five years on the abuse charge.

    This was just not cool
    monica_boggs.jpg
So who’s the little tyke up there? That would be Skylar and his mother Monica Boggs. Problem is Skylar’s dead now…
Apparently Monica lost her temper, threw the eight month old in his crib bouncing his head off of the side and then pitched his bottle in smacking him in the face.
Monica is currently being held at the Eastern Regional jail in West Virginia, charged with the murder of a child by a parent and child abuse resulting in injury.
As soon as I saw the story over at the Dreamin’ Demon I agreed wholeheartedly with them that the sum of her life can be found on her MySpace page. from her ‘about me’ blurb.

Daddy Dave Green Added to U.S. Marshals’ 15 Most Wanted List

Green_David_white_cte.jpgIn the late eighties and early nineties David Green was infamous in the Cleveland, Ohio vicinity for being the leader of a major drug operation. He distributed millions of dollars in cocaine into the west side of Cleveland. He was also an unflinching leader who ruled his organization with intimidation and brooked no disobedience. Apparently he treated his family the same way and even used his wive(s) and six children from the four marriages to transport the drugs.
In ’91 law enforcement here in Georgia finally decided that they had enough evidence to make a case against him, raided his home and arrested him. The found automatic weapons, high powered hunting rifles and drug paraphernalia in the home. He was convicted to 19.5 years in prison. Unfortunately he wasn’t there very long as Green escaped from a Federal minimum security camp in Ohio by just walking off the premises. They closed the facility a week later and I am sure many heads rolled on that one.
Green has been on the run since 2000 and has been featured on America’s Most Wanted twice since then. He, along with murderer Luc Pierre-Charles Jr have been added to the United States Marshals’ list of 15 Most Wanted.
    Luc Pierre-Charles Jr

Luc Pierre-Charles, like Daddy Dave, made his living selling drugs. He is wanted for the 2006 murders of 17-year-old Derek Jame Pieper and 18-year-old Raymon Alphonse Veluz. In May of this year a deputy stopped Pierre-Charles for a traffic violation and put him under arrest. Although the Pasco County, Florida deputy put him in the back of the police car Luc made an escape even after having been tased by the deputy. In July the Pasco County Sheriff’s office finally issued first-degree murder warrants for Luc Pierre-Charles and Tyree Jenkins. By chance Jenkins was arrested at a traffic stop the same day in New Port Richey (I used to spend summers right up the road from there and I love the area). There is also a $25,000 reward offered for information that leads directly to the arrest of Pierre-Charles.
Jenkins was also charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and last I read was being held without bail.
If you have any information or tips that might take these two dangerous criminals off the streets call 1-800-CRIME-TV. You can even call in anonymously if you choose to do so. You can also get more information about these and other scumbags at America’s Most Wanted.

Updated 10/14/08 – Casey Anthony has been indicted by a grand jury on seven counts including 1st Degree Murder and is in police custody. More info here.
Update August 29th 10:50PM – Casey has been rearrested for writing bad checks.
    Updated August 29th 5:33PM
Casey Anthony’s bond revoked, to return to jail on Saturday?
    Updated August 28th 2008 5:25PM
Tests show that a decomposing body had been kept in Casey Anthony’s Trunk. More details here.

Latest updates can be found here.

As I tweeted earlier today, Casey Anthony was released from the county jail on $500,200 bond earlier this morning. It’s amazing how many people around the country are up in arms because she walked out of the jail. This is standard operating procedure here folks. Plenty of people awaiting trial on all types of offenses get bailed out and get ready for trial. Personally I don’t think she’s going to run anyway but my feelings don’t come into the matter anyway.
She went straight to her parent’s home where she is going to be monitored by an electronic ankle bracelet. For some reason the couple of news channels with video don’t agree with my browser Flock and so I haven’t seen the entire video of her leaving, although the one I caught over at Central Florida news made it look like the scene was going to get ugly for a minute. It looked like a scene from Brittany Spears’ front yard. They were pretty much mobbed by the assholes with the cameras and apparently Jose Baez, the attorney for Casey Anthony, shoved one of them and Central Florida News is reporting that someone possibly got hurt. Maybe they should have gotten the fuck out of the way…
Casey’s arraignment on charges of child neglect, making false statements and obstruction of an investigation was also today although Casey did not appear. A written plea of Not Guilty was entered and the first pretrial hearing has been set for November 5th followed by a trial date of November 17th.
In other semi-related news I came across a report over at the Criminal Report Daily on Greg Padilla, Leonard Padilla’s brother who also happens to be a bail bondsman. Apparently they live in the same area, and have the same avocation but have not had a single conversation with the other in a decade. Neither of them will comment on why they won’t talk to each other but Greg supports his brother’s decision to bail Casey Anthony out of jail and says it was the smart thing to do in order to find Caylee Anthony.

“Leonard can find anybody. He’s the best in the business,” Greg said. “You can’t hide from him. If he can talk to Casey Anthony, he will get enough information to find out what happened to Caylee. You have to keep in mind that we have a better chance than the police of getting information out of somebody. Most people clam up when they see a badge. They fear the police, whereas they can trust us.”

I haven’t been home very long but once I get the chance to read up on some links I may post more.

Unless you live in a fucking tree you pretty much have heard of Caylee Anthony or maybe just her mother Casey who has been cooling her heels in an Orange County Florida Jail for a month now for Child Neglect, Making False Official Statements and Obstructing a Criminal Investigation.
Leonard Padilla from California flew out to Orlando earlier this week with a couple of associates to try and bail Casey out of jail. After having surmounted some obstacles it looks as if she will be going home, even if temporarily. She is going to be fitted with an electronic ankle bracelet and will be on house arrest and will be getting out of jail at some point after 8am, most likely between noon and 3pm. It’s only been a matter of time because of the way the system works. You know, innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Whatever your personal opinions of Casey Anthony she has the same rights that are afforded to me and you and it is unconstitutional to keep her in jail until she is convicted.
Personally I think she is going to try and get an immunity deal in exchange for telling the court exactly what happened with Caylee Anthony, but Padilla along with others insist that they think she may still be alive and they are going to try and locate her. More power to them, I really and truly hope that they do.
Here’s what’s hard for me though. I truly believe in our system and as I stated above Casey has every right to be free until convicted but when’s Caylee coming home to her house and her bed? Sometimes the system I believe in pisses me off but it’s the best thing we have.
Anyhow, enough of my feelings on this…
There is a pretty interesting discussion going over at MSN groups about the Anthonys. Supposedly some of these folks that are posting know the Anthonys personally and seem to be airing all of the dirty laundry there. I won’t get into it, you’ll just have to head on over and check it out. Seems Cindy Anthony’s brother (unverified) is posting there as well.
I will update this later if I get the chance. I am about sick of reading about it tonight and may just watch some television.

    Natalee Holloway

    Image via Wikipedia

Apparently a dutch company has plans to make a movie “loosely based” on the disappearance of the Alabama girl who disappeared and was most likely killed in Aruba in 2005.

    The Hollywood Reporter
AMSTERDAM — Dutch producer Hans Pos (Shooting Star Film Company) has announced plans for a Dutch feature film loosely based on the disappearance, and possible murder, of the U.S. student Natalee Holloway in 2005 on Aruba, one of the islands in the Dutch Antilles.
The case attracted a lot of publicity in the Netherlands and the U.S., as the main suspect was filmed with a hidden camera by crime reporter Peter R. de Vries, for a program for SBS Broadcasting of the Netherlands, which was subsequently nominated for an Emmy Award.
Pos will base the film, which he will also direct, on the crime novel “Vuurkoraal,” written by Dutch journalist Annet de Jong. Screenwriter Simon de Waal is currently working on the adaptation. Pos plans to release the film in 2009.

It’s only been a matter of time before they did it, I think everyone knew that. At least they waited three years. It would be nice if they would donate a portion of the proceeds to something like Texas Equusearch or one of the Missing Children networks.
Hopefully they will portray Joran as the scum-sucking piece of shit that he is as well.
