Zombies in Plain English
A Little Break…
I had every intention of coming home to write tonight but think I am going to glue myself to the TV and then pass out. Cya…
The Paris Catacombs
Back in the 1700’s Paris cemeteries had gotten so overcrowded that the bodies wouldn’t even decompose. The stench in the city was so bad that they moved a lot of them into the catacombs, which had originally been a limestone mine. This is one of the creepiest places on earth and has pretty much been off limits to the public for a long time.
Movabletype Podcast Plugin
Byrne Reese has released a Podcast plugin that allows you to link to a podcast on the Internet including your own podcasts or just simple MP3 files that may be on your server and has included a freely downloadable flash MP3 player as well. I have been waiting on a decent mp3 player that I could embed in posts and it looks like this might be it. I am extremely happy to see this and might get back into doing an occasional podcast.
I thought that the recent Melting Pot Heavy Metal Addiction podcast would be a good one to test it with.
More on the California Wildfires
Just some recent news and video clips about the fires raging in California right now. Have to wait until I actually have free time to actually post any content
Friday Night Game
The game went pretty well tonight. We picked two seniors and both were in the band. Both also missed their kicks so as it stands right now, the girl that made the field goal during the first home game is the only one in the running for the $1000 scholarship. We are going to let two more kick during half-time at the last game of the season and if either of them make it then we will have a kick-off after the game. If neither of them kick the goal then we will go ahead and present her with the check.
I left during half-time, right after the kick and photographs. Villa Rica was getting their asses handed to them. The score was 21-6 at half-time.
Tomorrow is Pete’s birthday party, so hopefully my stores will be fully staffed. I need to get out of there by 2pm so that I can get home and get cleaned up.
Other than that it’s been a pretty uneventful day, just an extremely long one.
Friday Open Track-Back Post
I unfortunately don’t have a bunch of time this morning to post much of anything. After work this afternoon I have a short meeting and then have to be at the local high school to do the scholarship kick-off thing. It’s Homecoming there tonight so we need to be there a bit early in order to get a parking place. I am hoping I can manage to get out of the meeting pretty quickly. I short nap before the game would be very nice indeed.
If you have the time and are concerned about catching some of the sick pedophile bastards that haunt the Internet, go check out Warriors For Innocence and leave a comment.

Haikugle
Venomous Kate is hosting a contest over at Electric Venom that’s sponsored by a flower delivery place. Write your Haiku about Google, post in the comments and whoever wins gets $80 in flowers sent anywhere in the world. Sweet, no? I’m so frigging cheap that I have to enter contests to send my wife flowers
Here’s mine…
seven stinking chimps
flinging poo at each other
we work for google!
google is satan
deliver us from evil
go play outside now
Damn I suck. Post your Haikus in the comments if you dare. It’s OK if you make fun of mine because I damn sure am gonna make fun of your’s. They don’t even have to be about Google if you post them here, they could be about whatever you want.
